Hope these latest two from Watford sign. Would be good additions to the team. And make the difference we need to make a strong push for automatic.

Need at least 3 more players before start of season. Some say DC has money problems. Others saying after experiencing the power of the Wednesday fans in play off final chansiri family want to pump some serious money into Wednesday. The former seems more likely with the lack of signings.

Not posted for a while. But rumour has it (S*n newspaper) that we are trying to sign Adebayor previously at Spurs at on point. Anybody else heard any more.

Should say, 'at Spurs at one point'.
I'll try harder next time.

2.) 22 Dec 2015 21:05:12
Yes I've heard this too he's asking for around 50k a week free transfer. Do we need him though also heard 8mil already agreed for hooper done deal already that's why we loaned him cause he's already ours in the eyes of Norwich. Do we need them both got forestieri Lucas jaou nuhiu and hooper. Unless one is on there way out (nuhiu)

3.) 22 Dec 2015 21:23:13
Would definitely bring goals but possibly also unsettle a working equation.

4.) 23 Dec 2015 03:39:41
is 50k a week excessive for a 31yo, albeit a once top player?

5.) 23 Dec 2015 13:29:52
I would have thought that the wages would be so massively out of line with the rest of the squad as to rule the transfer out. Wouldn't want him anyway, his work ethic is terrible and we have a great set of centre forwards as it is, also how long is it since he played a first team game for anyone. I'm not sure we need anyone new coming in during the transfer window the squad we have at the moment is pretty good. We might get a couple of squad players to cover parts where we are a little weak but I see more players leaving rather than coming in.

6.) 25 Dec 2015 13:11:38
Trouble maker don't need him.

20 Sep 2015 16:23:47
According to the Sunday papers we are after Danny Graham from Sunderland, after failing to get Hooper(Now injured) and Berbatov(Forgive spelling. So will wait to see it in the Star next week, when its been in every other paper/news channel. Not sure what his strike rate is recently.

1.) 21 Sep 2015 07:50:16
Given Sunderland's miserable record of scoring and after reading comments on their site, Graham hardly inspires confidence. Works hard, doesn't score, want shut, on ridiculous wages, are the gist of the comments there.

2.) 21 Sep 2015 17:49:57
Seen this too, think we should aim higher, does work hard but we already have that, would have been a dream a few years ago but think now we can do better.

3.) 22 Sep 2015 07:45:23
Decent player and would want him, but he's the hard working type. I want a lazy, talented striker, who adds nothing to the team but goals.

4.) 22 Sep 2015 10:49:18
Don't need Danny graham not as good as we have already

5.) 22 Sep 2015 17:36:01
1 goal in 34 games??

6.) 23 Sep 2015 08:34:59
We should stay well clear there's got to be a better option for the chairman to bring in if he's willing to pay the full wages

7.) 29 Sep 2015 03:16:06
we should have paid the wages for Berbatov even at his age would score goals for fun in the champion without braking a sweat.

8.) 29 Sep 2015 17:36:52
Graham is a transfer smoke screen. There is no way the same people who hired our current ace squad would ever consider such a lame donkey addition even if he paid subs.

9.) 04 Oct 2015 08:39:35
If, as expected, Sunderland get a new manager very shortly, it is likely that he will want to see all the players before deciding who can go. This might lessen the chance of Graham leaving in the short term.

According to reports in various Nationals, McGugan wanted to come, but talks broke down with Wednesday as Watford wanted a big fee for him. (Even though they are trying to off load him to fund other targets.) It makes you wonder how much DC is putting into the playing side, if we can't afford the likes of McGugan. That and £75000 being a stumbling block over compensation for Cooper.
Worrying times in some ways. Remembering back to the start last season we had got nobody in hardly, and most thought we'd be relegation fodder. This season, we have the second signing almost through the door, (quality yet to be decided - as it was when Lees came last season, even though some said he'd been rubbish for Leeds) with more to come. So although there are a few concerns to be answered, I'm sure we'll have a better end to the season than this time out. Onwards and upwards. UTO

With the mess we are in trying to get a manager in, I don't honestly think now is the time to assess what our intentions are on the playing side.
Lets face it half of us are saying we should let the new manager pick his own players not Roeder, and the other half are saying we haven't signed anybody yet even though we still haven't got a manager?
I'm as sick of the situation as anybody else is, as you can see from my posts, but I would much rather the Chairman involve the new manager in deciding which we go for, at least then he can be fairly judged on how good a job he's doing. If that means we have to wait to get the players in, so be it IMO.

2.) 29 Jun 2015 21:27:15
Hi all, for a striker still think we'll get michiel kramer

3.) 29 Jun 2015 22:49:22
All the signs are its going to be a disaster and that's looking at the positives!

4.) 30 Jun 2015 09:41:29
Sorry wrong post in wrong place.

On Kramer - looks like it's a bit to rich for us and Charlton are stepping in. Good grief!

5.) 30 Jun 2015 10:32:24
If you are a footballer and have a choice London or Sheffield your choice would be.
Let's be optimistic give Carlos and DC a chance we don't know any actual facts come on let's see how we start the campaign

6.) 30 Jun 2015 10:57:19
July the First approaches. Maybe there will be a burst of activity - but I'm not holding my breath. As to McGugan -does anyone know the figure being asked and if it is reasonable or outrageous? Like any player he must have a ceiling value. Quality midfielder but there has always been a nagging doubt about his maintaining form beyond the initial period. That doubt must affect the value.

7.) 30 Jun 2015 12:56:22
An egotistical owner who just wants to own a club with his name on he front of the shirt which will be screened world wide. Stevenage and Walsall wanted Lachmann as well as us so he's hardly going to set the world of football on fire. We can't afford 75k compo for Cooper and Carvalhal is a 13 club manager coming for free as he's currently not wanted by any other club as a manager. We've offloaded Buxton as he was one of our top earners and the increase in price of season tickets and replica kits is no doubt paying for most of the new pitch and screen not Chansiri although he's reveling in the praise. This is a very worrying time for all us loyal Wednesday fans.

8.) 30 Jun 2015 14:31:21
Strad - work out what 15 000 x £500 season tickets adds up to. (Clue £7.5m)
Wages and salaries alone were around £10-12m but will obviously be more this year and going forward.
Lots of other incomings and outgoings associated with a Championship Club but regardless of all that - hardly any of the clubs outside the Prem make a profit , and if they do its a small one.
Thats why he/we want to get there and not stay in the Champs.
The name on the shirts was probably his way around the FFP Regs not "ego"!
It would allow him to put more money in to the playing side in these first couple of years without falling foul of the rules.
Please tell me how you think Mr Chansiri is not paying for the pitch and scoreboard when its his club?
Whatever comes in and goes out is down to him, and if he spends anything it comes off the profit side of the balance sheet , so its his money.
Mr Chansiri is making lots of mistakes at the moment, we can all see that.
But he has to get it sorted , not just for us, but for himself.
He's already spent more than £30m we know that much don't we?
So he wants to get it right - obviously!
So give the bloke time to find a way through this current mess and put it right.
If he doesn't then we'll all be having a pop believe me.
But we're a couple of years away from judging him, let's see how close we are then to where he said he wanted to be

9.) 30 Jun 2015 16:17:57
AGREE totally

10.) 30 Jun 2015 17:19:36
Disagree,

A couple of years! We start preseason tomorrow with eleven playerS who will be training with the under 21's.

Plus, while I get its 'his' club no, he's bought it, but that's viewing is as a product - without fans he's bought an empty stadium and at the moment empty training ground, so this is a two way street.

So if he charges us more and then spends that extra on scoreboard and pitch I don't see him as investing in us either.

11.) 30 Jun 2015 19:24:30
So what do you want Des?
You don't win the League in pre-season?
Its where you are at the end of the season that matters - not the beginning!
Or more accurately not even the beginning for another 5weeks!
I'm not sticking up for him either - these are just facts!
We can only judge him against his aims!
His stated aim is to try to get us back in the Prem by 2017 - therefore we can only judge him then? Surely?
Unless of course we don't win a game before Xmas, then Mr Chansiri will know only too well without us saying anything that he's not got it right.
The main point I'm making is that he wants to do what he said and get us in Prem - that's why he's bought the club - anything less than that will cost him a fortune!
People with billions don't get it by throwing away tens of millions.
As for the charging extra, well we all have a choice to buy or not, and he will be too well aware of that as well , he's a businessman.

12.) 30 Jun 2015 21:17:22
The players being produced by Roeder are to a man on the downgrade. Been told 5 names we are chasing I have not heard of any of them and can honestly say they are a very uninspiring lot. Clubs willing to offload as they were not in team last year and failed to deliver in league. Championship rated 5th best league in Europe and we are looking at second division players in Holland, Portugal; We appear to be spending money on extensive off field team. Roeder, Hill, Senior, Carvalhal, Specialist fitness trainer, Technical coach (these two from Portugal with CC, names unknown. Cooper and now Mike Marsh linked as they are after two coaches who know English football. This is looking more like a disaster every day, somebody needs to tell Chansiri you need good players, good scout and good coach to win promotion. current is a recipe for relegation. I will leave you with the thought we are in talks to sign Reuben Noble Lazarus a striker from Barnsley. Yes he is a Barnsley reserve who scored one goal in 13.

13.) 30 Jun 2015 21:27:30
thas talking a load of rubbish frankel mate because he plays for rochdale!

14.) 30 Jun 2015 21:54:49
Why would we be in for him not so long since signed for Rochdale, oh look he's scored one in fourteen let's sign him up.

15.) 30 Jun 2015 22:33:34
Regarding the shirt sponcer I have heard from a good source the chansiri has sponcered the sorts for 20m!, my source is reliable he has given me 100% accurate info weeks before it's happened!, keep the faith the truth will out before too long. Glen rodent is the root of the dissarry at S6

16.) 01 Jul 2015 09:42:38
I was so disgusted when told about Noble Lazarus did not bother to check who currently plays for but can assure you it is true.

I can't believe the lack of progress in signing new players. But interesting that Fulham are in Portugal and playing National the day after we play them. Could McCormack be on his way to Wednesday. Probably not with the 3 relegated Premier league sides after him for around 13m.

It has to be a straight cash for Rhodes due to restrictions they are under from transfer embargo. Plus Rhodes is now injured so can't see anything being done for a while. If ever. UTO

When Middlesbrough made a bid for Rhodes one of the reasons given by the owners was they wouldn't sell him to another Championship club. And refused to let him even talk to borough. They also said they would look at any offers from Premium clubs. But no serious interest shown. So very unlikely to be coming to us. Would be nice if it was true though.
