Wow. I feel good enough to buy a season ticket with that news.

As of tomorrow I will start posting no takeover today - guess ill probably be right for next 15 years.

Now then for us, are we going to get some interesting shopping lists posted in here.

And before anyone starts if it's the right player I don't care if they are free, come from league 1 or 35.

You think the deal was concluded with: 'at the end of the day, we're all Wednesday aren't we!'

As a life long owls fan this is fantastic news. mm deserves great credit for this. now let's get back to where we belong. uto.

2.) 10 Jun 2014
Fantastic news for us at last just hope we get a good manager to take us to the promised land premiership here we come

{Ed040's Note - I don't know what the rest of you think but I'd still like gray to be given a chance

3.) 10 Jun 2014
A good manager is one who gets results against the odds, Stuart Gray has done that many time this season.
I would like to see what he can do with an improved squad, I think he could surprise many people.
The new chairman may well decide to bring in a new man, that's his perogative I guess, but the true Owls fans shouldn't be baying for SG's blood within minutes of the takeover.
Shame on you!

Now it is the time to look forward and let us put things in perspective please. Mammadov has proven to be a football fan and succeeded in helping clubs in his ownership but he doesn't have a magic wand. Let us give him our support as we have done over the years but more now, pleading for new blood of decent signing additions. Hope for the best to come! NDS

5.) 10 Jun 2014
I agree with ed give sg a chance he can get them playing as a whole unit. Add a bit of quality into the mix we could be a force. (And bring in waddle as free kick coach)

6.) 10 Jun 2014
I hope Mr Grey gets a chance with his own squad of his own choosing, he deserves it and let's be right, he's done well, I reckon he could well be top coach, I think the club owes him at least that.

7.) 10 Jun 2014
Personally want us to go forward with cool head no knee jerk reactions. We have brought in some talent over last couple of years and lack of budget has scuppered opportunity of making them permenant. Best example was Wickham, I would like to hink we can still get players like this agree fee and make them ours.
This owner strong on Academy so top level here we come and let's hope we start producing some real talent.

8.) 10 Jun 2014
Billy Sharp ' Sean St ledger ' Shay given if Kirkland don't sign a new deal ' Chris Burke 'Sam Hutchinson' there's a few I would like to see.

Did mm say is staying on as Chairman?

10.) 10 Jun 2014
A great striker is what I want to see. A 20 goal a season chap

After years in the wilderness, and we are now in the Championship, hopefully getting stability in this division, and we have allegedly a man with money in charge. I can see the benefits of having M. M. Remaining as chairman, he knows his way about the club and the Championship. I also think that S. G. should be given his chance to boss the players for this coming season, at least.
I personally cannot see the benefit of throwing an indecent amount of money about just to buy allegedly Big Named players. I am sorry that the likes of Connor Wickham and Matty Fryatt have made their decisions, but that is their choice. I would have made the same decision in their place as we were still up in the air with our plans, but being a true Wednesdayite I would have signed for the Owls regardless. I can now only hope that sanity reigns supreme in the club and nothing is done without a lot of thought for the consequences for the future before we start throwing money about and just buying players for the sake of buying. I still want success for the club but not at any price just sense and stability even if it takes two or three years.

12.) 11 Jun 2014
In response to "years in the wilderness" poster. I couldn't agree more. Let's do things properly and within affordable budget. Would hate to see us gamble fortunes and end up in a similar mess.

13.) 11 Jun 2014
We're all wednesday aren't we?!

Havent been this excited since the 93 cup finals.

14.) 11 Jun 2014
I wonder if Fryatt would have gone to Forest had this takeover been done beforehand. Personally, I doubt it! Would love to see his face if we managed promotion this coming season and Forest bottle it!

15.) 11 Jun 2014
I agree - I don't think Fryatt would have gone to forest. i'm still not convinced he would be the answer, he's good, don't get me wong but for the wages he commands we could potentially get 2 strikers who would score as many goals as him combined.

People talking about targets, I have no idea, its been so long since we had any £ to spend at all (I remember Laws splashing out £700k on Jeffers and about £300k on Sodje before that it was the Prem days - £3.5m for De Bilde, £3.5m + Regi Blinker for Di Canio. ) that I wouldn't kno where to start.
