1.) Yeah heard he's in talks with some Thai group about 30 million according to sly sports

Let's hope it all works out this time for all concerned and not to much disruption to the team
3.) Been rumoured for a month or so on one web site a poster mentioned it was a done deal 3 weeks ago.
Few informed people have said something's happening and Thai group were reportedly shown around training ground last week.
Chap who was involved/put together in Reading takeover deal is reportedly involved and one of consortium is related to Reading owner.
Heard other gossip but above comments were made before media story broke and believe were made in good faith rather than by a fantasist.
Nothing in Thai media
Think MM will say nothing until deal is over the line or is non starter after last years fiasco.

A bloke at the City game the other day said it was a consortium of Thai blokes that are in the leasure industry. Apparently they've looked around Hillsborough and the training ground already. He also said that last year they were on the verge of buying Bristol City and before this season started were looking in to the purchase of Walsall.

No negative impact on transfer policy as we currently have nothing to spend anyway.
Just heard final discussions planned for next week, we will know then if on or off.

Clearly you can't put all investors in the same pot at this stage but I'd be a little nervous at Far Eastern investment after what I've seen at Birmingham and Cardiff.

I've told by a family member, who incidentally is a blunt that someone who he has been working for is saying that we are really going for promotion this season never mind next, also he's saying that the prices are going to go through the roof if were successful .
I was ribbing him a bit about their play off annual joke shop comedy club etc, but what he was saying is the prices are going up with a bang . I haven't posted on rumour side because it's not really a rumour, common sence really, premier club premier wages, premier prices.

Absolutely agree, would have thought Buxton's versatility a good asset in the background if not first team.
madine seems another bit of bad business too.
But, the future. 11 out is leaving a lot of scope to bring people in and to be fair, if they are first team quality then we will be in a much better place.

I've been looking at the list and wondering if we already have signings in place to replace some of the players who have gone. Buxton especially seems a strange departure, a versatile player who was still good enough, so I can only assume they already have someone in to replace him. Coke as well was another one who while not world class was a useful back up. Of the rest there are some names who were obvious names, McCabe, Maghoma, Floro and Corry. Madine I think was always on his way out when he went on loan for most of the second half of the season. Going to be a really fun transfer window to watch for definite this summer, we are going to need at least 8-9 players to get the team up to the right numbers so will be interesting to see who comes in

On the other note they must have had good feedback from new prospective players otherwise SG would have offered him a short contract or pay as play if they exist, but whatever I feel very positive about the coming season , good times

So all the little pieces are being put in place and I'm feeling more and more confident, the season isn't over yet but for me if we Finnish the highest team in Yorkshire that'll do for me but I see some real quality in the new season wearing the blue and white, now for that " I can't wait"

I think a lot of people got fed up trying to post and have up so it may be a while before they have a look now and find it's sorted, can't really blame anyone must admit I stoped even looking for a while after the update and all the problems with freezing and writing posts to find that you couldn't submit but it's better now. On the improvements apparently even the executive boxs are being updated and the boiler system for the under pitch heating so Mr Chansiri is really spending the dosh!

All makes perfect sense to me howler, btw I know it's close season and postings are a bit of a rarity at the moment on here , I reckon it was caused by the major update they did to the site some while ago that ended up being an absolute mare to post, as it's seems sorted now hopefully posters will come back on and we can get some discussions going.

Quite a few times it's collapsed half way thro typing and sometimes I have written a new post and the whole thing freezes and I have to come out of the site. That's the reason I haven't been coming on, when that happens and it's more than a few sooner or later you would just stop!
{Ed033's Note - Thanks for the reply. There are 2 Create New Post forms and they are different. The Create New Post form linked at the top menu is the same form from before the change of this site. The Create New post form at the right hand side of the site is a new form. Maybe it's better for you to use the older form from before to post new posts.

If anyone is wondering why so few people are posting now , it may be this site , since it's mmmmm upgrade I seem to be able to post sometimes but not others it is tedious to say the least and yes I gave up for a while
