I'm beginning to get twitchy about this takeover. I know it involves a lot of work but it's taking an awful long time. Having said that I'd be surprised and worried if MM has been duped.

was at last nights photo shoot at Hillsborough for the new shirt it is exactly the same as the one that was leaked. Sam Hutchinson and a few other players were also there. Hutchinson hinted that Andy Johnson is staying in digs with him as he is in the process of signing for us.

Heard today that James Wilson is coming on a season long loan from man utd. Broke into their first team under giggs and even scored. Meant to be a cracking striker.

Don't think for a minute SG sees Johnson as his 20goal man.
But what he can still do is come on as an impact sub late on in games, when he's up against some tired legs and get those important late goals to turn defeats in to draws, and draws in to wins.
Hes a clever player who rarely wastes a chance.

To old, will be 34 later this year, I thought Stuart Gray wanted to bring in players that could play Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday? This is why I can't understand us being linked to players of this age i. e. Andy Johnson, Robert koren & Keith Andrews

It is brilliant to be linked to players of the quality of Robert Koren and Keith Andrews. I am not too fussed about age, to be honest. Our performances for the last couple of years have been so inconsistent so I prefer that we build around experience so that we create a stable base. That becomes even more important if we are to start introducing a few of the new development squad signings into the first team. Obviously I wouldn't say no to Paul Pogba but . one step at a time!

What's the point of giving players one last big pay day at 33/34 years old?
The game is so fast nowadays it's a younger mans game, you can still pick up experienced players but at a younger age.

Koren would still do a job for us at 33. A safe one year contact would be ok. He scores goals wherever he goes!

Koren has scored virtually the same amount of goals in his career as johnson, and that is from midfield!

Bolton News just reported that Wednesday have tabled an offer for Keith Andrews, with a 2 year contract. This is the reason he has been excluded from Bolton's overseas tour which has just commenced.
They want to off load due to him being a high earner! And he is trying to untangle the remaining one year on his contract - hence the delay.
He is not a young man by any means, but S G may value his experience.
I can't recall seeing him when we played Brighton ( he was there on loan last season )
Any thoughts anyone?

Gray said wanted to reduce age of squad and gave good solid reasons for this. Can not see him signing a 33 yro player for this reason. Likewise Andy Johnson at age 33 he is too old for high tempo pressing game Gray favours. Think these are rumours started by agents trying to earn some money and obviously aware Wednesday now have some cash.
Heard we are in discussions for 2/3 season long loan players. No names but apparrently out of top drawer.
