I would have thought wickham would be up for sale.
Imagine if we got both wickham and ebanks blake! what a strike force in the champ however I believe crystal palace want ebanks blake so he will probs go there for prem footy

Recently released pair Gary O'Neill and Matthew Upson are heading to Wednesday.

Two main names that I keep hearing for the forwards we want to recruit are Lita, after the end of season he had with us though there is a bit more competition for him now but I heard talks had gone well when he was still with us and he liked the club but he would like to see what options are out there. Still a strong favourite to be playing for us next season. The other name I have heard heavily linked is a season loan move for Connor Wickham. Di Canio doesn't rate him so his first team places will be limited but as Sunderland have little cover up front Wickham will only be allowed to leave if they can get more strikers themselves.
Finally Steve Howard's name is being mentioned again but not as a player but in a coaching capacity. Apparently he did some sessions with the academy while he was here with us and impressed so will be offered a role if he wants it with an option to provide cover on the bench if we are short
