I'm not a Wednesday fan but my mate who lives near Croydon recently did some work at ex Palace chairman Ron Noades house and he told my mate that Wednesday have just signed a Palace centre half and are about to sign team mate striker Glenn Murray.

Glenn Murrey couldn't stop scoring for Brighton then a big money move to Palace and it all went wrong for him. Might be worth a punt.

Yep, garderner a few week back. not sure bout murray. they will keep hold of him i think

Why do people always imagine that officials at football clubs want to discuss transfers that are not public knowledge with the handyman, groundsmen, ticket office staff, the cat etc?
Agree1

Ye right ....and my mates dad laid a carpet for maradona and he says aguero and messi are going to sign for Wednesday cos they like beres pork sandwiches from herries road

Sky Sports understands that Motherwell midfielder Steven Jennings is being targeted by a number of English clubs...And it is understood that Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough and Doncaster are all in the running for his signature...All three clubs have identified Jennings as a possible transfer target

Think you will find its Dale Jenning unhappy at Bayern several Championship clubs in the hunt Wolves and Leeds head the chase.

Why sign lower league players, cant be that good if they finished mid table... Stupid signing
Agree3

Careful ! Look at all the stars that came from Crewe Alexandra
Agree2

Ever heard of big fish, small pond?. just because colchester finnished mid table does not mean he is a bad player, remember a team is not a individual it's a collective group.

Kieran lee was from oldham, not much better

''Why sign lower league players'' Most of our team now came from League One. Look where signing has beens from higher divisions in the past has got us.
Agree3

One player can't singlehandedly get a team promoted. By the same logic you wouldn't want Stephen Flecher or Kevin Doyle from Wolves I assume. And don't forget Gary Madine, he wasn't top of the leage either. What a stupid comment!

Lol lets only buy proven top level players for inflated prices lol

Tbh steven fletcher (striker from wolves) is decent and wolves got relegated one player dont make a team but he can still be good!!

All these stupid comments about lower league players not being good enough annoy me. Madine has played 9 games in the Championship scoring no goals for Coventry, the rest of his career has been in the lower leagues. Should we get rid of him because of that. Semedo and Reda Johnson both played for teams that were relegated from the championship so we probably should get them binned too in your opinion. Antonio has played most of his career out of the top two leagues too so guess he's going to be rubbish too and we shouldn't sign him.
Some players have the potential to play at a higher level and that is the scouts job to find this out and report back. Personally I think he would be a good signing, I know my mate who supports Colchester would be gutted to see him leave.
Agree2

He's a beast of a CB. Colchester's best player.
Would be a good addition.
Some right tools about, 'he's from League One' Jordan Rhodes is from League One, would you not want to sign him either?
Okunghae will move to the biggest club of his career, he will not demand first team football like some big timers, so will cause no problems within the squad.
Potential, potential, potential.

What our squad should look like based on some viable rumours:
GK - Kirlkland
RB - Lee CB - Gardner CB - Okunghae
LB - Mattock
RW - Antonio CM Semedo CM Norris LW Treacy
ST - Ranger ST - Madine
SUBS: Bywater, LLera, Beavers, Reda, Buxton, Lines, JJ, McGuire, Lowe

Wouldn't be dropping Buxton
Agree4
Disagree3
Agree, wouldnt drop buxton or reda unless mattock and lee are brilliant. Pluse wouldnt be playing ranger hes garbage, would rather see ogrady or lowe.
Agree3

DJ stated he wanted players who had proven themselves ay championship level or higher. Or were youthful and lots of scope. The Colchester player satisfies neither of these.
Think team correct except for Norris and Treacey. Think Norris will be squad player if he comes. Treacey understand money Burnley want is unrealistic they paid for a fortune for him last year and want to recover money. Not keen on loaning to potential rival. Antonio think will arrive as originally quted us £200,000 when he came on loan.
Buxton will be on bench if we do not offload him.
Agree1
Disagree1
Certainly not a bad looking squad at all would be amazing if that's how we were lining up first day of the season but after all the previous disappointments, I'm not holding my breath!
Agree1
Disagree0
If Nile Ranger didn't have potential do you think Newcastle would have developed and kept him this long just because he didn't score 10 goals in the 12 games he played for us doesn't mean he's garbage the more first team football he gets the better he'll get.
Agree1
Disagree0
Regarding the Colchester lad look at how many Championship clubs are looking at him he must have the potential ability to move up the leagues, also he is on a free so its not as though we are investing money in him apart from wages which would be a lot less than someone who has already played at this level with no guarantee they would prove a success.Sooner get potential and develop that talent than some over rated overpaid has been.DJ knows best trust trust.

Last season one of our assets was that the players ground out results together, as a unit.
Yes we need and injection of quality, but more or less changing the starting 11 for the start of next season is ridiculous.

Aparently we bid £350,000 for Antonio which was turned down
