I've said it on here since the Chinese takeover rumour started. One of two things will happen. Either MM will still be in charge at the start of the new season or if a takeover was to become a reality then nothing will change with regards to team improvement it will just be a new owners name above the door. Nothing of late has changed my view. I understand the optimists out there assume a new owner means loads of money will be thrown at the club but it doesn't work like that. Simply look at how much MM threw at team rebuilding?? Of the 30 plus players that have walked through the door during his tenure only two or three have cost over a pound. The rest have all been freebies, loanees or cast offs.

Revowl do u wake up in the morning & think i'm going to be negative today like the sing goes always look on the brightside of life

We have brought in a few youngsters with good pedigree and will hopefully sign a few class acts.
No matter what, MM's money saved us from extinction, even though many players were loaned.
That's a successful business man, not somebody who just keeps saying 'I told you so'.

Difference is RevOwl Milan paid little for us and had to spend more than expected. HM is not going to pay €50m and leave us fighting relegation every year. He wants prem. let's hope he's prepared to pay for prem.

No I'm just fed up of false promises. His latest one is "the deal should be done this week". Well they've got about 36 hours left. All I'm saying is they should stop getting our hopes up only to let us down yet again. We can see through them now yet they still do it. I want the best for Wednesday and nothing less. I just want honest leadership and an owner as ambitious as us fans.

Agree5 Disagree4

Rev I think we all feel the same but maybe its us continually asking the question ' When when when? ' that drives MM & the club to try and make best guesses on when it'll be concluded. At the end of the day its out of their hands so best guess is all they have & has proved frequently wrong. I for one am resigned to us having a so-so season this year while all the wheeler-dealing gets sorted out, in the hope that if we find Xmas in the same position as last year that at least there may be some money around to rectify the situation rather than having to sack the manager.

Agree7 Disagree1

I understand peoples frustrations but its a bit boring now to be honest.

Mammadov IS the owner of Sheffield Wednesday FC, he has signed the contracts and MM has got his money.

Ratification unfortunately is a long process, and I am sure that the new guy just does not want to end up in the same position as Cellino did at Leeds, where he was £10m into before he even knew it.

Anyone that slates MM needs there head testing, he saved us from certain extinction, moved us up a level and has now found someone that he believes can move us on another level.

Sounds very much like we have players waiting to sign contracts, as soon as the FL give there approval.

I have no doubt that lots is going on the background but cannot be announced until the formal FL ratification is received. MM is not a guy to just sit around and wait, so he and SG will have been talking about targets and working non-stop with agents to sell the club and its new ambitions. Unless some unexpected bum facts emerge, I expect a flurry of action once the ratification comes through. Sam Hutchinson looks likely although WBA may still scupper that, but knowing MM's ability to keep things quiet, hopefully a few other smile-on-the-face signings too.

Agree1 Disagree1

MM on Radio Sheffield - I'm paraphrasing. There is no issues, just waiting for ratification to go thro, THE FL have been waiting for some paperwork which has been slow to get.
so No problems, then he added "AT THIS TIME" which sounded slightly worrying.??

If the agents will not allow players on their books to train, the question arises: who is employer who the employed in this relationship?

Believable8 Unbelievable1

They are notcovered by contract so have no employer. It sounds as though contracts have been agreed. If a player has an injury which means a long lay off before signing contract, would we be prepared to pay him high wages if not available for season. , if not we may not sign leaving player without a job ad no chance of getting one.
Can actually see Agents point of view. Does not make it easy for Gray.

Please note that question related to "this relationship" and not to employment contracts with a club. The employer is generally the one who pays money to the other. I doubt very much that it is the agents who are paying the players.

For those saying there won't be any players coming in you need a reality check. We are on the 3rd of July and only 3 days into the new transfer window. More importantly than that is the size of our squad to which I have more players registered for my Sunday team. We will add and we need to add as we would struggle to fill a bench with any injuries. To me there is nothing dodgy in the takeover bid and league ratification as stated at the start of the takeover takes time. If the Leeds takeover was allowed I believe that ours will sail through.
