I won't be surprised come next week when the window opens that we get some big name signings that nobody has mentioned on this page in a similar way to the Kirkland deal. No one mentioned his name before he signed.
Am expecting some free signings (there are some good players out there who's contracts have run out) but also a few cash deals through the window and again I won't be too surprised if one of them is a big money signing to please the fans.
I would be surprised if there are any more free transfer signings. They got Bosmans out of the way first and now we are in to cash purchases and loan signings. Also think it may be 2 or 3 weeks before any more new players come on baord. Do not expect more than 2 loan signings before start of season. Mandaric wants to be able to use this facuility to bolster side when into season.
Milan said himself that they don't want to rush into anything just incase something better comes up. The premiership clubs will start thinking about their squads soon enough and that normally leaves a couple of decent players out in the cold. Im just glad that this is where we are looking for players now and we have moved away from the bargain basement sort of player.
Only problem I have with that is the possibility of missing out on other players while waiting for others to become available. We don't know what's gonna come from the premier league clubs also if u look at the list of our of contract players still to sign for anyone there's loads of quality left.
Dos santos leaving tottenham next week. On loan at Ipswich last year - what a capture that would be if dj/mm/pa pulled it off!?!
Never gonna happen - Sky Sports News reports he is going to ath Madrid or Sevilla.
