The unmistakable sighting of Stephen Quinn walking into St Pauls Hotel followed closely by Paul Aldridge today. Announcement tomorrow maybe? Just returning from hamstring injury

Believable2 Unbelievable11

He lives in sheffield I've seen him in meadowhall a few times

Agree7 Disagree1

Sounds about right. getting another hull player fit then p. g off back. typical! We're more like the northern general

Agree5 Disagree2

I really hope we can sign Matty Fryatt on a permanent deal we haven't had a Proper Prolific Goal Scorer for years.

Agree5 Disagree1

Not likely as Quinn is part of the first team.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hang on, what's that I see - oh yes, flying pink elephants. No chance of Fryatt!

We probably do more rehabilitation than the Northern General!

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah theirs no way Milan will put big money up front he's going to sell us asap he wants a profit and he's waiting for the right buyer dosnt anyone listen too him?

Hes talking about signing loans or frees to add to the wage bill, because when he sells us he won't be paying it.

If he forks out 700k upfront cash for a player that's 700k gone from his profit in us that's how it works.

So wage bill only lads that's loans and frees, start thinking of players I am sure Milan and Paul both read this forum hoping for some divine inspiration

Agree3 Disagree1

To 700k upfront -- that's not quite how it works.
Players are shown as assets on the balance sheet, so what "money signings" do is push up the value/asking price of the club. Milan could get all that money back if he can sell for more money - that is his worry I guess.
There is an argument, a case for investment in quality players to make the club a more attractive proposition for a prospective buyer, because it means they have less need to spend immediately they takeover.
But I think MM has clearly chosen the alternative route of minimal investment to keep the price down.
Like most things in business, you pays your money, or you don't, and you takes your chance?

Agree4 Disagree0

I work at St Pauls and both Sheffield Teams conduct meetings here. Could be true

Wednesday in talks with Nathan delfonso and Chris woods over 3 year deals for them both

Believable1 Unbelievable17

Would love both of them but can't see it happening don't think we will get anybody unless on loan who nobody else wants but we can dream lol uto

Agree3 Disagree4

Wouldn't mind woods but don't want delfouneso (17 goals 120 games) says it all

Agree8 Disagree2

Here we go again on the other link we are associated with Sammy ameobi'becchio and guly do prado and on here Nathan Delfonso and Chris Woods how many more

Agree2 Disagree2

People just getting desperate making up names now

Agree7 Disagree0

When delfouneso came on for Blackpool (a few weeks ago when we prevailed 2-0) he was very poor. His passing was off, his first touch was poor and he looked sluggish and uncomfortable. I personally don't want him

Agree5 Disagree0

Chris Woods is a quality Striker we'd be lucky to get him.

Agree8 Disagree1

Ain't it Chris Wood fellas?

Woods might be a bit short of pace now at 54, besides he coaches Man Utd's keepers.

Agree4 Disagree1

After watching de gea last week it's obvious woods has been coaching him, how to let a tame shot got pass you at the end of an important game

Hull have just confirmed they have rejected a bid by SWFC for Matty Fryatt.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Thats right and we seem to be running out of forwards now that Conner has one back, and now we need two forwards. Mr. C

Agree3 Disagree0

I can see him coming though, maybe one more bid - although knowing MM, it'll have to be a vastly improved one - Jelavic and Long just gone there, how many forwards do they need? Fryatt looked decent against Southend at the weekend, too.

Agree3 Disagree1

I hope we didn't bid 'silly money' MM needs to be realistic - quality costs

Agree3 Disagree0

Bruce didn't say he was not for sale though, it is rumoured Hull are after another striker so Fryatt will be surplus. He will go somewhere this week

Agree1 Disagree2

Wednesdays bid for fryatt was a loan one

Agree2 Disagree3

Looks like SG's first job is to find someone to replace CW although it was always going to happen. Still think that what we have now they believe is ok until injury and suspensions kick in

Agree2 Disagree1

According to Hull we've only offered to loan him. Surely with the FA cup run we can afford to stick a 300k bid in. To secure him for 3 years this would be a bargain.

Agree4 Disagree0

Just been on sunderland rumours and they believe wickham going to brighton in a swap deal

Agree0 Disagree1

Our bid was NOT for loan it was to buy, You can hear the interview with Bruce yourself on Audioboo.
He also gave the impression that its not over yet, he said there's plenty of time until friday?
Not for the first time the papers don't QUITE get the facts right!

Agree3 Disagree1

No it was for loan listen to it

Agree2 Disagree0

I did listen you obviously didn't - we made a bid to buy! No confusion in what Bruce says.
We will sign Fryatt on a contract before the deadline because he wants to come here and he won't sign a new contract at Hull now they've signed two more strikers. Just a case of reaching the deal!

Agree2 Disagree3

He actually says enquiry so could be either!

Agree2 Disagree0

It was a loan. All the news sources are saying so. Bruce said he will only leave if a team bids to buy him. They key figure is near the 750k mark. In short you cannot afford him.

Agree0 Disagree1

I reckon £400-500K would get Fryatt he's going to go for free in a few months and they've just spent big money on two strikers.

Sorry to spoil things but Wickham has left you and gone back to Sunderland because Forest have put a bid in for him today.

COOPERRED

Believable8 Unbelievable14

Our whole season now depends on either getting connor back (very unlikely - they have recalled him early for a reason) or finding a decent replacement which given the amount of rejections we have had over the last 18 months doesn't look likely. I fear LAvery and Maguire whilst playing well can't consistantly fill the void left by wickham's departure. worrying times

Agree8 Disagree2

It's true, they have called him back a week early

Agree4 Disagree0

I did post last week he had a choice to make but money must have got the better of him

Agree4 Disagree2

I wanted him to smash Millwall on Tuesday too!

Agree4 Disagree1

Spewing! We need to stop messing about and buy players rather than putting them in the shop window for smaller clubs to buy!

Agree6 Disagree2

CooperReds on the wind up again. They have re-called him as they want him for their game tomorrow night.

Agree6 Disagree2

Oh dear. Down we go. This is what happens when you rely on the loan market. Mm needs to get his chequebook out and offer hull a fat wedge for fryatt. 1 mil would do the trick.

Agree4 Disagree4

Why are we never prepared for the obvious, Wickham was always going to be recalled. Caught with our pants down again.

Agree4 Disagree1

Gray said at press conference he was certain loan would be extended and apparently it had been agreed loan would be extended. Hoever Poyet decided he wanted to take a closer look and play him against Stoke on Wednesday as their cup run is putting extra strain on resources.
Coopered I have told you before yyou could not afford Jack hobbs so how on earth do you think you would be able to afford Wickham. You must be in running for Forest plank of year contest.

Agree4 Disagree1

He won't go to a small club in forest he would be with us or sunderland possibly leeds as they like our seconds ie barkley the other year! uto xxx

Agree2 Disagree1

Sunderland in a relegation fight don't think they will sell as they probably need him more than we do.

Agree1 Disagree1

Gone back to Sunderland as they need him in the squad to cover for the first choice strikers with them still being in three competitions. Sunderland had been attempting to get another striker in themselves but they haven't been able to so have called him back. I think Maguire has proved in the last few games that he can fill the hole left by Wickham so i'm not overly bothered he has gone

Agree2 Disagree1

I doubt anyone would pay £1m for Fryatt when his contract is up at the end of Season.

Agree3 Disagree0

Hull and Forest agreed a fee but Forest would not meet Hobbs wage damands so of course Forest can afford Wickham.

Agree0 Disagree1

Sunderland just bought Argentinian forward my opinion is cw going to be sold so come on mandrich get your check book out conner wickham wants to play for the massive

Agree4 Disagree1

Algerian forward

Agree0 Disagree3

He's Argentinian.

Connor wickham will extend loan spell today heard it from the horses mouth yesterday

Believable4 Unbelievable13

Which horse hi ho silver and away or what is Mr Ed, for all those out there who didn't know Mr Ed look it up

Agree2 Disagree1

Gone back to Sunderland today.

Agree8 Disagree0

Hope so!

Agree3 Disagree1

You talk rubbish he's been recalled

Agree2 Disagree1

So what's all this about him being recalled by Sunderland then?

Now feel like Private Fraiser!

Agree1 Disagree1

Neigh neigh don't believe it!

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes we are trying to extend it, even says on ssn, however he has just been recalled by Sunderland. i'm a liitle worried and just hope we can get someone in before Barnsley game, which is a massive game

Agree1 Disagree1

Not a very clever horse, he's been recalled!

Agree1 Disagree0

WRONG he's been recalled

Agree1 Disagree2

What horse was that? He has just gone back to Sunderland!

Agree0 Disagree1

Conor has been recalled back to Sunderland
We just don't learn

Agree1 Disagree0

Already Gone back!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been recalled by sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats funny he's off to forest mate

Agree1 Disagree6

What horse was that. red rum?

Agree0 Disagree1

Apparently extension had been agreed then Sunderland changed their mind and decided wanted to play him. So original poster probably had heard story. Gray said at press conference on Monday morning he as confident loan would be extended (had been agreed Friday). Then recalled within hour of press confeence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wickham has gone back its on our website. and we have had a 300k offer for fryatt turned down.
