Guys (the sensible ones - maybe guy who thinks £6m for fryatt could sit this one out)

Say knight - is he on a free
Delfoneuse (bet that's really close, ex villa) on a free.

Delf. Would be good squad addition. But quite a few of the names that have been poo pahed (never written that before) would add a lot of quality to squad.

Not many others that I can think are free that I want, who have I missed?

Now with the possibility of spending some money this year, who is going to be our Danny ings?

Knight

Agree7 Disagree2

I think the two you have mentioned are simply not good enough.
There are hundreds of players out of contract.
Ormerou on loan from Chelsea is a possible.

Agree9 Disagree0

If we're serious about promotion we need to sign a Gary Hooper, Jordan Rhodes, Troy Deeney or Connor Wickham type goal scorer.

Agree9 Disagree7

Hopefully we get something to cheer about soon. Like I said earlier before the world cup started. After a disappointing england display at the world cup. Although steven gerrard played well with 2 assists!

Agree0 Disagree5

The ones we have been linked with like Gunning and Ameobi are not god enough by a considerable margin. Hpe Gray has some good talent lined up.

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree, but hooper, wickham, Rhodes are all definitely not coming; so who is?

Agree2 Disagree1

If we are serious about promotion we need to start at the back, Conceded way to many silly avoidable goals last season.

Loovens I would have kept and we may, I ain't that bothered about Gooch to be honest, its almost like Wednesday are his fall back, don't want that kind of player.

Burke is on a free and would be a good addition, as would Keith Treacy.

Agree6 Disagree2

Burkes an excellent player and would pick him over Treacy altho he did a good job for us. Just think Burkes more industrious with a good final ball and an eye for goal

Is it true we've just offered Notts Forest 6 Million for Matty Fryatt?
What next?
Sleaford Owl

Believable3 Unbelievable23

Is it true that the first statement above is fiction. ?! uto xxx

Agree21 Disagree1

Sorry!
It was a neighbour of mine who is a mad Forest fan - taking the mick, I think.
Just hope we get a better striker in the meantime - the wait is almost unbearable though. Only the misfortunes of the likes of Spain is filling the time in. Hope we will not be saying the same of England tonight!

Agree, would be boring without some football to fall back on.

Don't nobody get on any bodies backs yes it's a shame these out of contracts haven't signed yet however they are all on Holiday whilst this Takeover goes through. By next Saturday expect no messing a £10 million bid for Connor Wickham is too be made along with £4 million add on fees, from scoring too England appearances. Along with an enquiry for Gardener and loan moves with possible signing perm are rumoured too be from the Man City academy also two Manchester United reserves that are having a big shift coming ready for their new man. This isn't a from the know or my mates dad this is real however I could get into a lot of trouble for this but it's depressing seeing everyone moaning when we should be enjoying this moment. Mammadov is not messing around he wants a premiership outfit capable of Champions League Football. This is the time too celebrate guys

Believable3 Unbelievable25

I thought hafiz told us to keep quiet about this until all sorted but while we letting cat out of bag one of the players from Manchester United is januzaj on loan

Agree4 Disagree11

If we buy wickham I will streak on the first home game and join in with the dance troop nude! In other words it ain't happening!

Agree20 Disagree1

Wow our poster owl really knows his stuff. Must hold a high position at swfc. Hope he doesn't get into trouble with the powers that be. Mainly the head cleaner and chief steward. Thanx for the info anyway m8, and keep it comin. You've just helped to sell another few hundred season tickets. Not bein sarky. honest!

Agree6 Disagree0

If you do that, I'm doing a synchronised dirty protest on the centre spot.

Agree5 Disagree0

Unbelievable!
Please Ed don't let this sort of individual on such a good site like this.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed040's Note - sorry chaz but everyone entitled to there own opinions, unfortunately lol

Personally do not mind someody posting a wish list, pretending to be in know or have privileged knowledge is not good form.
At moment Wickham is out of reach and most Wedneday fans acept this. However his future will depend on start he gets in season if he does not hit form he will be out of side and then it will be time for us to strike. He had a few games in form at end of season for Sunderland and was transformed from vey much on peiphery to centrre stage. He could very easily struggle to find back of net and now we are in financial position to get him if this happened.
Gardener if its the one on loan with us he was sent back, he only played in flashes, and would not be somebody I was keen on.
Lots of rumours around Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea reserves. I woud not be surprised to see a couple of quality loan signings head in from these sources.

Agree3 Disagree1

Ed- there not opinions, there made up bull by some halfwit

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed040's Note - for all we know it could be mammadov himself telling us his plans (I pretty much doubt it mind) lol, but it is a rumours/banter site and I've gotta let em through and to be fair I like reading these stories

Got to agree with ed, stranger things have happened, who's to know how much he wants to spend.

Mighty wednesday linked with Sammy ameobi but not Danny ward from Huddersfield as reported. source sheffied telegraph.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Young and fast, but is he any better than Helan, Maghoma or Antonio?
I haven't seen enough of him to judge, but he seems to be of similar mould to said players.

Agree7 Disagree0

None are good enough for the massive all league1 players at best

Agree3 Disagree4

I agree, but I was more interested in whether Ameobi is any better.
Maghoma was doing well until his injury though.

Agree5 Disagree2

Not seen anything of him but Boro seemed to think he was OK. As for being better than Helan, Maghoma & Antonio. I think Helen is best at left back, Maghoma doesn't set my world on fire at all and as for Antonio I think he is dreadful. He left all his pace & trickery with United in Div 1. Now he just lumbers around like a slow musclebound cruiserweight boxer. Cue a barrage of abuse haha

Agree3 Disagree8

Agree with above post 100% mate, seen ameobi play for Newcastle a couple of times and I'd pretty much say he's equal to any we got not better so should just leave him to boro

Agree4 Disagree2

To be fair I don't think many of is can judge Sammy Ameobi based on a wealth of watching him play. What we do know is he is fast and apparently trick. I feel we get this from maghoma, Antonio when confident and fit but helan is a left back for me.
What I was really wanting to see us bring in is a winger who can put on cross on a 50 pence piece. However, does anybody know of Dammy Ameobi's crossing ability? I'd probably say the jury's out.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I have seen a fair bit of the lad as he was coming through their youth system, pacey, tricky, but no end product. He is so wasteful and always looks to be about to lose control of his feet, let alone the ball. He might need a run of games, but for me, from what I have seen, he is simply not good enough for the Championship. He needs to learn how to do basic things like pass, cross and shoot. His movement is poor, it shows a real lack of intelligence, he just seems a bit of a headless chicken. Maybe a good coach could sort him out, but for me I wouldn't recommend him to any team in the professional levels of the game.}

On that note, I think he would be brilliant for United.

Agree8 Disagree0

Whenever we announce we are interested in a player seems to head elsewhere for e.g Fryatt.
In light of above views perhaps good if he does not arrive.
Know somebody at Academy quite well who gets to know some good info, asked him a couple of days ago and said had heard nothing on signings.
