Seems everyone is screaming for a CB. News is Rio Ferdinand has not been offered a contract but I can't see him coming here for 2bob a week when he can get 3 by going abroad.

RIO IS OVER HILL AS A PLAYER

Wednesday linked with Marvin Sordell from Bolton

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Looked good at Olympics but doesn't seem to have kicked on at all. Wouldn't say no though. Right age and doubt it would be a loan so an opportunity to possible profit from a player for once.

Interesting question, who is biggest profit made by us. Must be a bought player and not from youth team?

Agree6 Disagree0

Scored three against us

Agree6 Disagree0

Only mentioned him because he banged 3 in at the garden centre a few week back

Agree2 Disagree2

Where have we been lnked with Marvellous Marvin?

I'd have him on a free.

He's not what we need.

Steven may from St Johnstone is going to be our number 1 transfer target and a bid of 1 million plus add ons if we make the premier league'' this as come from a mate who lives up in Scotland. I've not seen anything but if true would be a good signing

Believable3 Unbelievable15

It seems we are not on our own in admiring Steven May. QPR are expressing interest and have more money than we will be able to put up.

Agree1 Disagree1

Unfortunate fact is that if virtually any other championship team go for the same player we are after we just can't (or won't compete) when it comes to the finance side. we need to face it that we are a bottom 3 (at best) when it comes to financing transfer fees and wages.

Agree7 Disagree1

How about Steve MacLean from St Johnstone?!

Wigan athletic looking at swfc Jeremy helan. Uwe rosler looking for reinforcements for next seasons promotion push. Wigan struggled on left hand side last year and needs a pacy winger. Source local wigan paper. Hope this isn't the case as would be a huge loss. UTO

Believable3 Unbelievable13

He's garbage. Let him go.

Agree7 Disagree21

It would be a huge loss as he has very good potential and would mean wewere short in left back area. Still if they paid us £5 million I think they could have him.
Rosler must have been impressed by us wanting Gray and now Halen and they beat us twice.

Agree10 Disagree3

Isnt that the side that james mcclean plays week in week out?

Agree9 Disagree1

Going to be good this rumours let's see wot names pop up bet 90% false but will be a laugh can't wait to see wot names come out

Agree5 Disagree0

Helan signed a lengthy deal with us so any team that wants him will have to pay us quite a bit. Be a great shame if he did go though.

Agree12 Disagree4

Doesn't make any difference how long Helan has signed a contract with us for. unfortunate fact is (please see my response to the top thread) if the big finance clubs come knocking then we will sell because this club is losing money hand over fist!

Agree1 Disagree5

McClean is left footed but plays on the right more often than not.
