Arturo Lupoli wants to come back to England and is available on a free. A number of championship and league 1 clubs are after him. Even though he was on loan at the blunts, could be a good striker and he is young as well. Source: sky sports
Believable5
Unbelievable8
He's got a good goal scoring record
Agree2
Disagree3
Samuel eto is also out of contract , and i thought id mention him aswell ????? jesus wept these rumours get worse and worse lupoli ffootssnake ?? why would we want him ? you must have been brought up on them criminals dicanio and carbone !!
Agree6
Disagree5
Did you not see the first half against oldham? Think we are in need of a striker or two? and it wasnt a rumour at all! Its just a statement taken from sky sports news and I thought he could be a possible target
Agree0
Disagree3
ERRR! excuse me! Beneto happens to be a god!
Agree6

Chill out
Agree2

Carbone walks on water and Di canio weren't bad until he went mental one sunny afternoon. It was hot! If anyone derserves a mention for a drop kick its tricky trev for smashing up big rons team in 93. Still sore! Anyone know how bad Madine and McGuires injuries were the other night?
Agree2
Disagree2
Madine waitin on a scan on his knee but just a precaution so may be ok and maguire got bruised ribs and should be fine but I want cog to start anyway
Agree1
Disagree1
Carbone was proper quality.
Agree6
Disagree0
Danny wilson kicked di canio out wont have happend at man utd if di canio had stayed and beneto we would have have stayed in top flight and not got relegated bad management by club
Agree7
Disagree1
Dicanio technically best player ever at wednesday and carbone best player on pitch no matter who we played. Being old does not make you right!
Ps Trev was sacked for finishing outside top 7, things haven't gone all that well since. I know that Trev was no DJ, but it was the turning point.
Agree4
Disagree2
Di Canio wasnt bad ? Di Canio was the best player I have ever seen at Hillsborough, and ive seen some good ones !
Yes he was a headcase and shouldnt have done what he did but we treated him badly we should have stuck by him ! And Carbone was bloody good aswell !
Agree6
Disagree0
COG is on fire he will get plenty of assists and double figure goals this year if he plays but we should only play one up front any way and madine is a goal scorer so a bit of a tough one...
Agree2
Disagree1
Carbone had 18 clubs in 18 years, he was just a mercenary. Also in my view whilst he was ok in the prem he was too small to be really effective. Of the two Di Canio was the class act but as you say totally mental
Agree2
Disagree2
Di canio was quality you silly boy it was danny agent Wilson who could not handle big name players
Agree3
Disagree1
Lupoli good goal scoring record, where at,
he plays for a team serie b who are 15th placed.
Agree0
Disagree0
Carbone didn't need size and strength. His football brain and skill made him the class act that he was.
However, Sheridan was the best player Iv seen in an Owls shirt.
Agree2
Disagree1
We treated di canio badly? you have to be joking, that arse complained he was depressed, we allowed him to bugger off home to recover and immediately upon return he transferred, he was a cock to us

Young Australian International striker Bruce Djite is in owls manager dave Jones sight. sources close to bruce say he is interested in the move from adelaide united.
Believable4
Unbelievable4
As an Australian, watched him play against my "other team" Melbourne Victory a few times, not up to championship, barely up to league one standard... although he's fairly pacy, you're not going to get the sort of goal return that we need.
Agree1

You are not from australia

Agree3

His 2nd cousin twice removed, Messi Lil Bleeda also catching the eye. He's filling in as a road sweeper Round Hillsborough Park at the moment but just waiting for his big chance
Agree5
Disagree1
Blades t sign the younger brother of Newcastle striker demba Ba ....bob Ba should fit in well at bum hole lane
Agree9

No doubt when he does get his big chance he'll be better than any player the blunts have got!

Dave Jones offered £500k for Nile Ranger or on loan deal again in July and Newcastle were holding out for £1m from Norwich or then to put him out on loan to absorb some of his £50K a week 4 years still left contract, 12" cash in his arm and toon never took him to Germany, he's defo the OWLPremiership loanee.....
Believable0
Unbelievable10
I hope not didnt impress me at all thought he was a lazy player
Agree4
Disagree9
Jones to make an approach to bullard due to his experience at this level . Only stumbling block may be his wages .bullard previous injury problem may also reflect in length of contract on offer.
Agree3
Disagree8
50k a week i dont think so !
Agree4
Disagree2
Yeah wages would be a problem because clubs will be lining up to give a player that not kicked a ball in the best part of 3 years a contract, come on get real guys.
Agree0
Disagree2
Why does everbody say he dint impress when he was ere ? he was'nt match fit when we first got him n in my opinion he got better towards the end after he got a few games under his belt i think he be a good signing
Agree4
Disagree2
There's no way Ranger is on 50k per week you daftie!
Agree3
Disagree0
No way is nile ranger on 50k a week bet u any money yohan cabaye isn't on that money
Agree3

Why do people make assumptions of players as soon as they are available, when they have nothing to back it up
Agree1

Don't get ranger bad goal scoring record not a good player

Just been told by quite a reliable source that Wednesday will approach Kev Macdonald again in January if he proves his fitness this season. God I hope this is not true.
Believable3
Unbelievable9
This was a stupid story in the first place. He failed miserably at Championship level that is why he ended up in League 1. DJ only wants those whoo have proved themselves at Championship or higher level or outstanding youngster with scope for improvement. MacDonald is neither.
Agree4
Disagree0
If DJ wants players that have proven themselves at Championship level or outstanding youngsters he can't be very happy with the squad that he currently has!

The striker that we are looking to sign is currently at a Premier League club - DJ has confirmed this to BBC RS Utd. I usually defend all the rumours on here but it seems to me that many people are digging out old Cardiff Players (some of whom did not play under DJ) and then putting 2 & 2 and getting 35648515475252,000000. Ross Mc at Leeds, Jay Bothroyd, Rob Earnshaw, Chopra, Whittingham & Bellamy etc etc....... Jon Jo Shelvy may be available on loan, he would slot nicely into our side, I fear that he may go to a lower premiership side though.
Believable5
Unbelievable2
I have been told Nile Ranger and Jonjo Shelvey were likely to end up at Wednesday. Point about Shelvey going to a Premiership is a good one as that was said to be danger but Liverpool want their man playing time and more likely to get it with us. Understand player we have agreed terms with is not Premiership player. Could not agree more about above names you have mentioned and think those responsible for peddling names are not Owls fans but Blades trying to wind us up as from reaction they can see we do not want them. If it is an Owls fan they are not in touch with curent game. Jones tends not to go back to former clubs to sign players. After first half last night think a signing before weekend is likely.
Agree5

On a different subject has anyone heard how much longer it will be before we get international clearance for RHYS MCCABE
Agree0

I have a feeling that this one could get messy with the fuss that Rangers New Co are kicking up. However I don't see what the problem is, they laid all there players off, surely they have the right to choose if they want to play in a pub league! I am a bit worried about the compensation they may want to try and claim though as they valued him close to £10m ridiculous but true.
Agree1
Disagree0
This is a new company and you can only TUPE across if willing to accept/transfer to new company. He decided he did not want to go, it would be a shock and legally ground breaking if a new company could claim compensation for work done by a previous company which no longer exists. They can be awkward and are trying to be in the hope we will offer a few quid for them to drop interest. Typical Charlie Green ploy, bringing all old skills to Rangers.
Agree7
Disagree0
Totally agree with last poster, TUPE rules/laws are clear and well established.
Charles Green is also well known !!
IMO only FIFA can make things difficult for us if they decide to make one of their "rulings" on the matter.

Would love to see another midfielder come to swfc, a player like cowie, or mark davies from bolton would love to see that happen but would only happen in my dreams haha but like to see another midfielder

My mate is a forest fan and hated Earnshaw when he played for them, said it was like playing with 10 men whilst ever he was on the pitch. Hope this move never materialises and its just a lazy link made by some fan because hes out of favour at one of DJ's former clubs.
