Before everyone starts spouting about who we should or shouldn't sign think about this - where would we be if SG had been in a position to sign the players he brought in on loan instead of putting them in the shop window. SG is a shrewd judge and don't be surprised if we get some real quality on the cheap.

It looks like SG is on holiday as he isn't saying anything at the moment I'd be back soon if I was him because there could be someone sat in his chair when he does Mr C

Agree6 Disagree5

What can SG say till he's met up with the Mamma, and he's out of country at mo?

Agree3 Disagree0

SG is in Brasil, scouting the potential.
;)

Agree1 Disagree5

Is he really.

Agree0 Disagree2

Yeah - think some Brazillian is on his mind, but he can't make his mind up if he'd fit in!

Agree0 Disagree0

From the wink I gues its sarcasm uto xxx

Agree0 Disagree0

Well spotted.
:)

Think he is more likely to have a Brazilian than buy a player.

We're being linked with another defender from the SPL. Shaun Hutchinson of Motherwell. Can't say I know too much about him. Wolves and Birmingham also linked.

Believable1 Unbelievable13

He's a free agent ' not a bad player but we can get better

Agree9 Disagree1

Need a good stiker holding midfielder

Agree5 Disagree3

Rumour has it Darren Bent has looked round Hillsborough today

Agree1 Disagree12

So have I m8 many times. Its lovely innit

Agree9 Disagree2

I believe its no more than 5m kids over the financial year with no more than 15m from the board to bring that figure in.

Agree1 Disagree5

Which ground have you been looking round because ours is a lot of things but it is far from lovely

Agree1 Disagree12

What will we do with the 5m kids?. have we got digs to house them?they won't all make the grade and the unemployment figures will go through the roof. we need to refine the search for young talent

Agree6 Disagree1

The Old Lady will always be lovely to me and hosts loads of great memories (along with the bad). I would welcome a good renovation to bring it up to modern day standards, but never a move or change of name! That would be a real stab in the back! Hillsborough will always be my home from home! UTO!

Agree7 Disagree1

Are you suggesting the 5m kids move in with the old lady who lives in a shoe?. because if you are I have to tell you that I regard that as tantamount to child abuse

Agree4 Disagree1

Nice one :-)

Agree0 Disagree1

I see someone disagrees with my suggestion that we refine our search for promising youngsters. can introducing 5 m kids into the academy set-up be considered viable?even with the old woman offering accommodation in the shoe the problems associated with inter grating such an influx to s6 would prove insurmountable. let's have some common sense on here please

Agree3 Disagree2

This would certainly improve the future economy. Future ticket sales, shirt and general merchandise would go through the roof. We not only plough all our resorces into a development squad, we now have a development support system, Mamma is a genious!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah, he is probably one of those really stupid millionaires who owns successful football clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you might be missing something

Stuart Gray to be given a decent amount of money to buy players around 6million

Believable1 Unbelievable19

Yep because they discuss transfer budget with everyone apparently

Agree18 Disagree1

Nobody, and especially posters on here, know what the numbers will be.
Only HM knows "the plan" and that will be constantly changing depending on how we start, and progress through the season.
He has already said he is ambitious so SG will be able to compete for a better standard of player to improve our squad than he could last week, but that doesn't mean spending millions.
We have to be competing at the top of the table at Xmas to be able to attract that next level of player.
Realistic expectations in early days please lads.

Agree14 Disagree3

Don't forget folks, there is a limit under FFP (£5 million, I think) that an owner can pump into a playing budget each year. Still, it's a damn sight more than we've had before if it happens.

Agree5 Disagree5

I'm sire 99% of other clubs in championship aren't obaying FFP rules so why should we?

Agree6 Disagree5

Most clubs are adhering to FFP and those that don't have to be prepared to pay the many millions in fines for non-compliance.
There are still discussions taking place about how it works, and proposed changes, but we will still be able to make good progress.
No doubt we will get MASSIVE sponsorship from "Land of Fire " for a start!

Agree3 Disagree0

Nobody knows the numbers because HM doesn't own the club yet. The basis of the deal has been struck/agreed between the two men but until the FA ratify it nobody will say anything and nothing will happen. Technically, MM is still the owner.
