Chris eagles 1st signing
Has anyone seen or heard the new kit going to be mostly white only little thin blue strips

Believable4 Unbelievable14

Spotted him flying around Pitsmoor on a milk float.
;)

Think you've got mixed up with the announcement about Owls linked with Eagles Rugby team.
Bullen is quoted as saying that transfer plans have been put on hold in recent days due to take-over situation, which makes obvious sense.
Next move is for new owner to declare spend plans to manager ( hope it's still SG )

Agree10 Disagree5

As a club we are now in a completely changed position and I think hearts are ruling heads and that, following the takeover, we need to think in a completely new way. There seems little doubt that money will be available. I'm as grateful as the next man for what SG has achieved on so little money, it's been quite incredible. And as for MM, I can't find words to express my thanks for what he's done and also how he's done his business: first class. But it's all different now boys and girls. Sadly, I don't think SG has the managerial pedigree that the new owner will be looking for. Let's face it he's had months to be looking round to see who he wants in the driving seat particularly if he wants almost guaranteed promotion next time round. I think he will already have targeted his man and once his purchase is ratified he'll tell us what his plans are. Don't be surprised if it's a foreign manager with very high credentials. It's a whole new ball game all of a sudden and we have to try to get a grasp of what that might entail as regards manager and players. What is assured is that quality in every department is on it's way to S6. Can't wait.

Agree14 Disagree4

Are you joking didn't you know he gave a managers job to someone based on the game football manager?
Baku the other club he owns is the one.
Papin goes for job and he gave it to someone who's cv was great on fm!
So I think grey is safe for now needs to get results straight away

Agree3 Disagree11

Mandaric is staying as Chairman so can guarantee anybody appointed will have credentials. Papin was involved with him at Lens and helped him select boss at Lens. The above post is asolute tripe written by some blunt who is having a jealousy fit.

Agree8 Disagree1

I would've thought that HM would be fairly quick to put his backing behind SG if he wasn't already looking at his managerial options

Agree1 Disagree3

I have heard Gerrard Houlier as director of Football

Anyone know how much this guy is pumping into us as a transfer budget?

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Only he knows that and why would he make it public?
It's not important anyway, as I've said elsewhere knowledgable fans will judge a player on what he produces and not on how much he costs.

Agree10 Disagree6

OP.
Hopefully it will be substantial enough to buy quality instead of loaning it.

Agree9 Disagree3

I agree but quality costs money, I don't wanna see anymore mattocks, bothroyds etc. I wanna see fryatts and wickhams. And before anyone says wickham too much or fryatt gone to forest! I know this I'm just saying these type of players are what we need. Look how much better we looked with these 2 last season especially against reading!

Agree6 Disagree3

Fryatt is not what we need, if this guy is serious then bit part players of bottom end premier clubs are probably below the standard he will be looking to bring in.

Agree8 Disagree2

I know we probs wouldn't get him but I'd love to see us sign Danny Batth. He was great for us on loan and is still very young to develope into a real rock at the back. My dad is a wolves fan and he has been singing his praises all season!

Agree5 Disagree7

Wolves are after an amateur player called Harry Maguire, so you never know.

Agree4 Disagree6

Would love to see Patrick Bamford from Chelsea think he would get us 20+ goals

Agree6 Disagree3

What I am certain is e will not be signing players who are clearly not good enough fo Championship.
Those players like Baath are nowhere near good enough for Championship winnig team which is what we are aiming for.

Agree1 Disagree3

I would say Batth is defo championship standard with potential to be better.

Agree3 Disagree3

Would love to see a player like Jessie lingard in on loan now we have a hit more pulling power. Any thoughts?

Agree1 Disagree1

Would it be a really backward step to bring O Grady back from Barnsley. He did score more goals than any of our forwards, in the same division. I admit it will take a lot of sorting between M. M. And the striker for this to occur, but I think S. G. could sort them both out. Discuss?

Agree0 Disagree1

^ Yes it would be a backward step.
Discussed?

Agree5 Disagree1

In my opinion, it would be such a backwards step that the suggestion had already been lapped.

Agree2 Disagree1

MM said that we will have to wait - so unless your playing FIFA or some other football manager game, I'm just giving them a chance and expecting to be pleasantly surprised by what happens, unlike past seasons.

Gary madine to Chesterfield. I know we are keen on glen Murray.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Is that GM out on loan?
they was after him last season

Agree1 Disagree2

Glenn Murray would be brilliant if he can get himself back fully fit/sharp. Must have put a few pounds on over his year off.

Agree5 Disagree3

I live in chesterfield and I've heard a lot of town fans talking about it. There basically are a wanna be owls team anyway so wouldn't surprise me.

You who slagged off MM HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME! All you need to do is go on to owls site and listen to him and if that's not from the heart I don't what is! All he wanted and wants is the very best for us. well done MM and thanks so much

Believable17 Unbelievable5

Well said, Milan saved us and we owe him our gratitude

Agree13 Disagree3

Totally agree. We were almost dead and buried before he took over and got us back into workable shape. We are now sitting on the threshold of the promised land in the hands of someone with genuine financial clout who obviously loves football and has already showed his credentials with Baku and Lens. He could easily have offloaded us to some other dubious consortium, but held out for the right deal "FOR THE MASSIVE"! Milan has proved himself to be a man of his word who bravely took the club over when noone else would touch us with a barge-pole. He defo deserves a full chapter in the Wednesday history books. Thanks Milan from the bottom of my heart!

About 18 hours and still no decent signings.

I think it's about time haffiz moved on. Thanks for the help but time for him to move on I think.

You mark my words another season struggling to stave off relegation.

Oh wait a minute.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Nice one, made me smile even more!

Agree8 Disagree0

There's some strange people about

Agree7 Disagree6

Quality.

Agree4 Disagree2

Its crazy that overnight (ok so relegated from Prem 14 years ago but you know what I mean) our fortunes and prospect shave completely changed. the guy doesn't need to put in 50 million to get us in the top 6, a handful of shrewd signing and we can have a go. hope he keeps gray on, the guy deserves at least 1 season with a bit of £ behind him

Agree9 Disagree2

We've all seen new owners they come and go. It doesn't always mean it improves the club either on or off the pitch. It just means a new name above the door. Let's not get carried away.

Agree2 Disagree10

Regardless, most fans will be jubilant at the moment and deserve the hope that Mammy brings.

Agree6 Disagree0

I wonder if season ticket sales have increased:-) Well Milan did start takeover rumour as season ticket time.

Sme poor posters must not know what to do with themselves.

Young 19yro Lens player being linked Wylem Cypeeni.

The new owner has approached chris waddle to be the new manager acording to a French newspaper

Believable6 Unbelievable8

I would love to see Waddle as youth team coach, teaching the kids how to pass a ball and taking a man on.
