Newcastle is our big home friendly we were going to play rangers but the new police commissioner won't allow it. Disappointing really.

The partnership with Sondico is why we playing Newcastle

Be far better on a sat or sun afternoon, fish.

I see leroy lita been released by Swansea would have him back tomorrow

Agree11 Disagree13

I don't agree, he doesn't work hard enough in fact he is lazy.

Agree8 Disagree3

Lets move on from Lita, did well but need new blood

Agree7 Disagree1

Why go backwards. Lita had a good spell with us but its very rare a player produces better when they come back. We need a young up and coming striker with pace who doesn't have an ego. UTO

Agree3 Disagree0

Didn't Wickham produce better when he came back for a second time?

Agree7 Disagree0

Yes he did, but he is an up and coming young striker with pace. Well maybe that much pace but strength and power and he will get a lot better. Unfortunately Leroy will not.

Agree5 Disagree1

Having spoken to Wickham a couple of times he doesn't have an ego either. Very clever level headed young man who comes across very well.

Agree6 Disagree0

Leroy is definitely good enough standard for championship. It's not always about thinking who will get better. Sometimes it's literally just about having a guy who can do a job and lira has proved it numerous times in championship. It's like nugent at Leicester, never going to be premiership standard or get better really but he can do it in championship year after year.

Sean st ledger apparently one of three on stuart grays centre back wanted list. Sources say he won't be offered new deal at champions Leicester city so would be a good choice financially as no transfer fee would be paid. Seen him a few times and since he's matured he has turned into a solid cb.

What about Darren Ambrose Mr C

Agree13 Disagree8

Probable, he wanted him last season as well

Agree8 Disagree4

I'd have St ledger he's a good solid defender plus I'd go for Ambrose and mcinuff good midfield with a bit if pace

Agree10 Disagree5

St ledger & roger Johnson cb partnership would be very good at this level. Both on grays radar.

Cm - ambrose not to sure. Mcanuff might be a good team player for competition.

Agree12 Disagree5

Matt Derbyshire is on a free from forest, would be a good addition to the squad.

Agree12 Disagree11

Matt Derbyshire would be a poor addition to the squad

No centre backs left at the club ( Zayatte, maybe )!
Would love to see Roger Johnson back, if the wages can be sorted. Certainly gave us a better balance alongside Loovens.

Why have I always been nervous about Guchi? Anyone else felt the same? We just looked so short of pace when these two were paired together. Also feel his comments about being in the shop window at the World Cup tells us something about his view of the club - don't we love the sort of commitment and zeal for wearing the blue and white shown by Llera & Reda.

Finally, I have a feeling that we are beginning to see a new " Grant Holt " emerging. Hope he keeps up the rate of improvement shown in the last few months - and as for commitment to the cause, you'll see no better!

Onwards and upwards and have a good summer

Thought Guchi looked good early on but the chance of playing in the World Cup seemed more important that wearing the blue and white in resent matches, doesn't say much about his commitment and temperament. Move on and get someone else, Roger Johnson for instance.

Agree19 Disagree6

Who are you referring to as the new ' Grant Holt'?

Agree4 Disagree2

My guess is lavery. Lol I don't think so lavery is by far miles ahead than grant holt was at his age.

Agree4 Disagree18

Nihue .

Seems a bit of clarification is in order. By reference to a " new Grant Holt", I am not to first to see a similarity with this ex Owl. He was big, raw and I am not sure many of us expected him to become the quality player he became at Norwich. When he left SW6, no one seemed bothered.
There have been many big front men who have done an effective job but not scored a hatful of goals. Heskey is probably the best example.
Providing there is a prolific goal scorer playing off them, the combination can be very effective.
I hope Lavery turns out to be "Mr Prolific". But, as for the " big man " he's obviously the Austrian blue & white giant.

It annoys me when I constantly read that Grant Holt was poor at S6, yes he was roar but he scored some good goals. Again poor management decided that we sell Holt to replace with Kim Ollson, possibly one of the worst strikers to wear the shirt. Grant was always a natural goalscorer, we just didn't have the foresight to see this. As we all know there are many more examples, Vardy just being one!

Agree6 Disagree18

Don't know where you get your facts from! Grant Holt is recorded as playing 24 games and scoring 3 goals for the Owls!
Reckon you must be a relative of his?

Agree15 Disagree0

Guchi is going to sign with a team in the MLS he as not been pick for usa world cup squad
