I've been one of the supporters of DJ for a while, I really don't see the need to chop and change managers and also up to this season he hasn't failed in his brief and the team have improved (ok only just improved last season but still improved). However the team seems to have gone backwards this year and there is no progress. The players don't seem to have any get up and go and there is no motivation to push on and perform better. The signings we have made in the last couple of years should mean that we can compete in this league, I don't think our squad is any worse than half the teams in this league there just seems to be no urge to actually succeed, now whether that is from the players themselves or the management not pushing them I don't know. I hope a takeover is completed soon and then a new manager can be put in who actually wants to push the team on.

Lethargic leaders almost always produce lethargic teams in whatever walk of life. There is no mystery and never has been.

I too was delighted when Jones was appointed, an altho we struggled last yr 50 plus points was satisfactory. However I now think he has completely lost the plot an the tactics an style are soul destroyin. At any other phase oin his club ownerships mm would have got rid. Ais obvious now that Jones will be stayin till the club is sold. Sorry about the mis-spellings, too idle to correct em!

I've read lots of posts about how DJ lacks passion, knowledge, tactical ability and can't manage or attract big name signings.

So what you're saying is: We need a manager who has won major trophies as a player, with experience in World Cup semi finals, an ex Wednesday player who is passionate about the club, a manager who has worked with superstar players and knows how to attract them and work with them, a manager who is perhaps just starting out and has already won a few things but would be tempted to try their luck in the Championship but who has already coached a Champions League team. Oh, and they have to be unemployed or cheap. Tall order.

Mmm. Jackpot! Roland Nilsson.

Everton Fan in Peace. just been sent a link of Ross Barkley last season, and he filled your shirt link a certain Crissy Waddle. hope you boys are back where you belong as soon as possible.

He was not, and never will be anywhere near as good as waddle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely different type of player.
