Give Bywater a chance, seems to do a job organising the defence, you can always here him shouting out instructions. If not then let him be the defensive coach...

I 1 billion percent agree with this :) Uto xx

Been saying this all season as Kirkland has offered little leadership and the defence has leaked like mad. Bywater is not the total answer but things would be better.

I hear all this stuff about Bywater being a defensive organiser but i'm pretty certain we would have conceded even more with him betweeen the sticks

Kirkland is a better keeper it's the defence where the problem is . Are we going to blame Kirkland for not scoring enough goals

Rather have mickey mouse that calamity Kirkland. His fans ought to go and look how many he conceded at Wigan season after season but let me guess it wasn't his fault!

When has kirkland been a calamity ? he is a good keeper its not his fault defenders don't know how to do there jobs

A keeper is only as good as the defence in front of him. When I played for a team at university, the first season I had a great defence who let very few shots through on goal so I had less to save. The season after we lost the main centreback as he had finished Uni and the defence wasn't as good so I had more shots coming at me so missed more making me look worse (and yes I shouted at them a lot to try and organise them bit it never worked). Everybody looks to the keeper when goals start flying in but if you have a rubbish defence who give the strikers too many opportunities then its not there fault.

Curbishley and Redknapp are only two of above I would consider. Owen Coyle has lost his way.
Feelers are being put out to see who is available, managers of last years 3 promoted Championship teams being looked at.

Curbishley would be a great manager for us,he did a great job at charlton and has a wide knowledge and good contacts. Would like dj to stay but things look bleak at the moment and only a matter of time before milan pulls the trigger

With the 2-week break in progress, if MM has any sense, which we all know he thankfully has a lot of, he will line-up another manager ready, with DJ possibly being given his last chance for the Leeds game, which we all know he will fail anyway.
However, much I would like Harry Redknapp, realistically and neutrally, it would come as a big footballing shock if Harry was to join us, however long his contract would be. From what was surely so close to being England manager and a few months later managing a team in the bottom three of the league below. Realistically, the main contender would possibly be Mick McCarthy?
But, we need a manager who can bring out the best of all the players on a consistent basis. And one that is experienced in doing well with a team in the position we are in now. With so far a lot of players being unable to adapt and to be seemingly poor compared to the rest of the Championship, we need a manager that can bring the best out of them near enough week-in-week-out.
And I'm not keen on having Roy Keane, who had success when no-one knew him as a manager at one club, then failed at all the rest he has been to. If we got him I would fear for relegation, I don't at this early stage of this season as I know MM is capable of sorting out the mess, as long as he picks the right man. Can he do it a second time running? We'll see.
