So you thinkn gardner taylor etc are better or worse, and if worse then why go for oaps over youth potential, and why is he playing mint for millwall? xxx

Crazy decision to send him out on loan in first place.
Mark made no more mistakes than Taylor, Gardner , or Llera for that matter. But at least Beevers has time to improve !
I think the truth is DJ is such a **** theres no way that Beevers was coming back if he got offered a contract with Millwall. He found the emergency exit.
I bet thats why half the players don't get picked , they've "tried to point out where he's going wrong" , so they don't play again, and while hes running out of players to fall out with, we slip further down the table.

It was a similar situation with Michael Morrison, he was really bad for us, but he went on to have a great season for Charlton.
Seems to be a bit of a trend...

I must be the only person in the world judging by the comments on this site that believes the football under Megson was dire.
We were not winning towards the end Under GM and to be honest was very impressed on the effect DJ had on the squad last season. Megson I feel would not have got us promoted.
STABILITY is what our club needs at the moment. We need to dig in for a while longer (fans and players) and all pull in the same direction.
There is still time for results and points over the next month to change the whole outlook form the season.
We all have to remember the squad (no disrespect meant) overachieved last year. Unless we were going to go out and bankrupt the club all over again (spending ridiculously large amounts on tranfers and wages) then we should have been expecting a difficult season.....which we're having!
Before you start I'm not DJ. But I think he deserves our support for the time being, and if MM was to pull the trigger there are no (realistic) alternatives out here we could be going for.
Meggo back would be unproductive and a backwards step for the club.

Your whole post is undermined by the two things:-
1) like all other Megson critics you refer to the "style" of play without any recognition that that he achieved what he did with no money , mainly free signings.
A good manager ,like Megson , plays the way that suits the players you have in order to get a result. And he has got results with every single team he's managed , even in Europe. He was even criticised for playing "too pretty" football when West Brom started to struggle in the Prem . So he can set a team up to play any way that suits the players.
So as I say a very narrow minded assessment of Megson.
2) Contrary to that , you are prepared to put your faith in Jones who has won nothing, unless you credit him with our promotion with Megsons team. He has attained a reputation with no foundation !!
He was supported with record budgets at his two previous clubs, and even play-off appearances were judged as failures by their Boards and fans alike because of his puzzling tactics and team selections - sound familiar.
You say there is no alternative around if we sack him, it is my belief that almost ANYBODY would be better !
At any rate COULD THEY DO ANY WORSE ?
He will not pull it around because he is not capable of pulling it around , so all the delay is just making a rescue less likely!

100% agree with the 1st post megsons style of football was awful as would be if we got billy davies i remember walking away from games under GM wishing id not been even when wed won so give DJ a chance please

Me too at times.
But at least I could appreciate that we were winning games with a team that had been cobbled together for next to nothing !
I go this season and I've been watching a half-fit , over age striker selected in front of a number of promising young strikers, and a £20k+ a week man not breaking sweat and being defended by the manager by slagging off the fans !
Guess who gets my vote ?

A number of promising young strikers ??

Madine - Rodri - Pecnic all promising IMO, & in the opinion of coaches in this country and abroad !! Pecnic is a recent international scorer ! Rodri was heralded by DJ when he arrived ? I suppose he hasn't settled yet?? -- even though he scored on his debut for Petes sake !!
Suppose YOU want to argue with those three cos DJ doesn't think so ?? - and DJ knows best ??
You probably believe - like DJ? - none of those are as good as a half-fit Sidibe who has been around forever and never scored prolifically anywhere hes been?
I really do despair of some of our fans ?
Why not open your eyes and minds and judge on what you see and not what the manager tells you ?
Agree18

But didnt dj bring rodri and pecnic to the club?
Agree5

Yes , thats exactly the point.
Along with another dozen players who DJ says aren't good enough.
I think the penny might be starting to drop perhaps?
Lets see, if you've got a promising goalscorer at the club for your 12 match unbeaten run, Madine, and you dont think hes up to Champs, why buy another two promising young strikers, who arent good enough for Champs. And then bring in Bothcrap & Sidibe on loan who aren't good enough either?
Are you seeing a pattern developing?? ..... how many players does he have to bring to the club before he finds one thats good enough ?
But what if all of them really are good enough but we weren't employing the right tactics to get the best out of them ? ....whose fault would that be ?
Really does seem to be a pattern developing ?
And its the same with the defence AND the midfield !
Thats why I said judge for yourself - dont just go with the DJ excuses every week !

can we still afford to buy players and do we have to sell a player before we can buy, like what we have done with beevers?
