Everybody so far is slating the loan deal if steve Howard. Most of the expert negatives have no ability or foresight and make wild inaccurate statements and have been made to look plonkers. They got a bit of confidence back because we lost 3 out of 4 (against just about best sides in division) so bull started again. most of comments by same couple of people. The man thing to do is to accept it, or debate it sensibly with facts, and not resort to insults.
I’ve just spent the best part of two hours reading all the posts on both sites, I suggest your “gang” do the same.
You will see, because its obvious to anybody whatever your views, that the critical posters are the only ones who are actually presenting any facts to support their views.
The people who talk about “negs and experts” put up nothing by way of a constructive argument, just insults and blind faith statements of support for the manager - which I have to tell you is not the same as supporting the team and the club.
I’d like to bet there's a good number of the team would like to see the back of the manager too because the players all want to succeed and progress too.

The attempt to justify negative comments is unbelievable. Perhaps he would like to point out what these facts are they have put forward.
The facts are DJ has limited funds and had to make do with mainly free signings and loan acquisitions. The step up between league 1 and Championship is significant and we achieved promotion last year with a squad who would be taxed at this level.
His signings Kirkland, Gardner, Halen, Lita, Pugh, Antonio and Lee have all done well. In addition we have acquired several promising players for the future. We have made several signings who have not woked out but this is normal for all managers. especially when you are opeating at bargain basement level.
DJ is not a miracle worker he is a sensible manager who has done well with limited resources and is well respected throughout the game who has been able to bring in players we did not previously get access too.

Its not an attempt to justify negativity its defending the criticisms and the right to make them!
You make no mention of his in/out loan deals, his other close season acquisitions, choice of Captain, tactics and results between Burton & Gray?
The point is made, there are two viewpoints here, and criticising the manager for his mistakes is as, or more acceptable than saying a player who we have hardly seen is not good enough, or slating a player for missing a penalty!
In any walk of life the one in charge ultimately takes the blame for failure don't they, and in this case that's DJ and many fans think so, and many fans think the same as you?

Really hope that maguire starts today, he has looked really good in the bits we've seen of him. This is the perfect chance for him to start.
I don't expect him to start though as Holden will be playing off lita with olifinjana (wrong spelling) in midfield with prutton helan & lee maybe pugh

Totally agree, I stiil think both him and Madine (M&M) can stake a claim and help get us out of this mess.
Neither of them have been given even a short run of games to show what they can do.

Madine is good enough for Champs and he’ll prove it in his career. he's got 3goals this season without being given a run in team.
None of us have seen enough of Maguire to know one way or the other, but what I will say is Maguire has contributed more this season than JB did and JB got a lot more opportunities to show it!
