Despite what MM said at the end of last season - HE HAS DONE NOTHING to take the club forward in the close season (Players out - wage bill cut - only[good]free- signings in) . The pre-season match results Megson & the current players have achieved in the friendlies is to be appreciated BUT you can't really blame THEM if they fail over a long hard season UNLESS there is some SERIOUS improvement in the attacking capability of the squad. They have had NO support from MM who made PROMISES to Megson AND the fans ---- IT"S TIME HE KEPT THOSE promises before the fans lose faith ?

Believable2 Unbelievable7

You clearly know nothing about what MM has done. Before he came in we owed £28m, we had a poor board, poor commercial sense, no real sponsorship, no leadership, ailing fan base, poor manager, poor team, poor club infrastructure, poor communication, no scouting network, large squad. He gas changed so much behind the scenes to make our club operate like a professional club again. We have new sponsors, new catering, new kit, new board, new price structure, new employees that bring experience and infrastructure, new scouts. We have reduced a big squad into a better quality squad. Granted we are 3 players short of what GM wanted but I believe we will get 2 maybe all 3 by the deadline. So don't just judge MM on the team judge him on what else he has brought to the club. We now are commercially viable again rather than another ailing British business which was so close to ending on the scrap heap. Its now time to back GM and the team to get some results on the pitch and MM will back him financially if he needs to make no mistake about that.

Well said, some wednesdayites have short memorys less than 12 months ago we were nearly out of business, and now finally we have the prospect of going somewhere, lets remember there are nearly 5 weeks till the window shuts, then we have another moonth of the loan window when the premiership teams will release youngsters UTO

Agree4 Disagree0

100%agree mm is king. wot a person slating mm UP THE OWLS

Agree6 Disagree1

Totally agree. I'm absolutely sick of reading negative drivel from brainless moaners who think money grows on trees. God help us if these lunatics had any serious influence. GM is shaping up a physically tough squad that will be hard to beat. If his next three signings are as good as his first five we will be a good bet for automatic promotion.

It should be a no brainer now that we have not much intent in bringing in fresh blood at cost by the amount of trialist we have / are looking at.yet another Wednesday manager doing is job with is arms tied behind is back and it's got to be said this team will not gain promotion other than johnson who can't shoot straight wares the play maker wares the pace look at the teams that went up last season from this league we could not tie their boots so don't kid yourself thinking we are Gona walk this league unless we drop on 3 to 4 decent players in the next week (which won't happen ) we will be in same boat as last year absolute farce love to no what gm budget was for new players their wages plus 20 quids worth of Argos vouchers

Believable2 Unbelievable2

AGREE - not only has Megson got his arms tied behind his back ..... he's blindfolded with his legs tied together & MM's hand's round his throat MM has lied to Megson & ALL Owls fans - there's been NO support from him in close-season.

I can categorically state that we have no interest in signing any further players, unless completely necessary before January.

Adam Le Fondre is not the type of player we are looking for at this time.

Cody MacDonald is on the verge of signing for Brentford, it was never on the cards anyway.

Chris O'Grady - our bid was considered derisory by Rochdale and we took our interest no further.

Chris Wood - was a possibility, however his club want him to gain experience at Championship level

Neil Mellor - deal is on the table, 1 year with the option of a further year dependent on performance related factors. Interest from 2 championship clubs based in the south of England have offered similar deal, but significantly more competitive salary

Jason Koumas - not much we can expand upon with this one, he believes he can still produce results in the Premier League/ Championship.

We are still looking to offload perhaps one/ two players who have failed to impress Gary during pre-season, but disclosing names would be unfair to the individuals involved.

Finally, you all deserve thanks for your patience while Milan and myself attempt to rebuild this once great club. It's a long process so we will require your continued support. Together, we will restore Sheffield Wednesday to it's rightful place amongst English footballs' elite. Too much time on ya hands mate

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Your a b*****d. Madine is a work horse, ALF is a out and out scorer, not seen him play but reckon he is like Michael Owen peeling of the last defender and knows how to finish

I can categorically state that I have no connection in regards to signing any players, Im hoping Xmas comes before January.

Adam Le Fondre is not a tall type of player we are looking for platform boots at this time.

Cody MacDonald is on the verge of MacDonalds on Penistone Road, he was asked to pick up a happy meal for Milan on his way in.

Chris O'Grady - our bid of £4.27 and a free can of Dandelion and Burdock was considered derisory by Rochdale who were looking for a minimum of £7.34.

Chris Wood - was a possibility, however he is considered too old and fat to pull on the keepers shirt again.

Neil Mellor - deal is on the table, 1 gummy bear with the option of a further gummy bear dependent on performance related factors. Interest from £2.57 in the Royal Bank of Scotland has now increased the original investment by 3 pence and this has been offered to Mr Mellor as a 'sweetener'

Jason Koumas - not much we can expand upon with this one, he believes he can fly and his claim is backed up by R.B singer 'R-Kelly'.

We are still looking to offload perhaps three or four players who have failed to impress Gary during pre-season, but disclosing names would be unfair to the individuals involved so lets just say two of them recently played in Scotland in the SPL and the others have the same surname as one player we do like.

Finally, you the fans all deserve thanks for your patience while Milan and myself attempt to rebuild this once great club. It's a long process so we will require your continued support. Together, we will restore the Dial House Working Mens Club to it's rightful place amongst English elite.
