Why should anybody be surprised we're signing another defender ? Even first choice defence don't look rock-solid !! Cup ties have shown the squad is still very thin in terms of quality in that department. If this guy is good enough , no fee involved, surely its a good signing ? Doesn't change anything on the striker front at all as I see it ?

Ryan Lowe may be 33 next month but he is a class act at this level he run the bury team when they beat us and if he can help us get out of this league which he wil.l you have got to remember until we go up we won't be getting the young starlets they want to play in the top 2 divisions alf proved that Lowe is a good player worth a 2 year contract all day long
