Not a rumour but just a thought, tony watt from celtic would be quality, only 19 i think and is a defo goal scorer, hes just a bench-warmer at park head.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hes there star youth for the future they wouldnt part with him for less than £5m min

Agree2 Disagree0

Lots of prem clubs been watching since he scored against Barcelona !
So not really unknown and not a prayer of him going anywhere but to a leading prem side.

Will be taking action with a couple of others with banners for next game. Talk and 'banter' is cheap. It's not jones' club it's ours! His time is up.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Hope it catches on

Agree2 Disagree1

Too little too late mate

Have you seen the banner at the back of the kop?

MM & DJ just want us too come and pay but have no say

I am not going until they have both gone, no more of my money being wasted by Jones he is a Clown

Let MM dig into his immense wealth if he trust Jones, I have no faith in either of them

Look at Pompey and Leicester before you defend him

Agree3 Disagree0

Look at us before MM took over.

Agree1 Disagree0

So now you prepared to let anything happen so long as its MM thats doing it

Am seeing it again now the transfer window is open. People putting quite believable rumours about lower league players that could prove quite useful and could make the step up and play at this level and others saying that these are players we shouldn't go for as they play for lower league teams and are not good enough.

Some of these doubters are probably the same people that said Le Fondre wasn't good enough for us in league one as he was playing in league two. He seems to be doing quite well in the premiership now.

I think we should take a chance with some of the players we have been linked with, if nothing else they will add some energy as they try to prove themselves in this league. Although the cynical part of me says that even if we do sign them we DJ won't play them

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not saying you wrong but even if you right we cant afford that gamble with position we in now.
We need more quality and experience quick.

Some guy who is 27 and only played for rotherham crewe and portvale isnt the sort of player we should be going for in our current situation

Agree1 Disagree0

You can gamble on players like ALF when you in Prem cos you got quality backup, you cant gamble on players like him to get you to the Prem cos if you pick a wrong un you struggling.
We brought 16 gambles in already this year anyway - thats more than half our problem.
The other half of our problem is the bloke that brought em !

Agree3 Disagree0

ALF signed for Reading while they were still in the championship if i'm not mistaken.

I can see the point that we don't have the time or opportunity now to have a gamble on these players but similarly I think that having a young player hungry to prove themselves along side some good proven players (the area where we have the problem lets be honest) could benefit the team if for nothing else he is something different that the opposition haven't seen before.

Does anyone else think DJ has something against our beloved club? Did we once give one of his previous clubs a proper hammering which he just cant get passed? He has already sold one of, if not our best defender in Beevers and now he wants rid of Llera too!
Im sure im not alone thinking that Llera has been one of the FEW players during his time at the club that actually wears the shirt with pride and, although he may not be, he certainly comes across like he has supported the club all his life! If Llera goes before the end of the season, the club that gets his services will be laughing, probably at us! The mini revival over Christmas was nice, even more so with the clean sheets (With Llera at the heart of defence) but now Jones wants to shake it all up again! His attitude, comments and team selections just seem to me that he dont want us to do well! Im confused. Even more so that MM dont seem to want to help us either! WTID

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Know what you mean but I go the other way. I just think , like a lot on here have said , that hes just not that good and never has been !
Probably doing his best but job too big for him? I dont think its going to get much better than this under DJ even if MM does back him .
Signing 16 players, most of em we hardly even seen yet.
Sticking with JB and bringing Mamy in up front.
And now swapping Beevers & Llera for Gardner & Taylor in defence says a lot about his judgement of a good player ? IMO

Why the **** is palmer staying out on loan we could do with him back! And dj will prob sell him! another good young player gone but dj may have a 30+ player in mind! Uto

Just seen this from Paul Walker. I can't believe it. It goes from bad to worse Miguel runs his socks off for the team and is Wednesday through and through - Jones Out ! "Miguel Llera's agent tells me he expects him to leave the club before the end of Jan

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Llera was prob one of few players that had a go at Jones when he kept picking JB and they had that big dressing room bust-up few weeks ago.
DJ gonna show em all whos boss now with a clearout of players.
Only be DJs yes men left so big slide coming up if MM dont buy some quality now.

Is bloody Davey boy jones serious !!! Come on man get a grip ur gunna loose us one a the best an most committed defenders that's wore the blue an white with pride for the last couple seasons he works his socks off wk in wk out scores us goals which at the minute even our strikers can't get an he's a major threat to most defences from corners an set pieces if LLiera goes some other team gunna get good defender !! wake up jones if not leave our amazin club to climb to hights without u at the helm an let all our fans have a future to look forward too . JONES OUT ASAP . O Driscoll in .

Agree8 Disagree1

Up until the last match we seemed to finally have sorted the defence, now DJ wants to unsettle it all again. Bizarre.

Agree6 Disagree0

It's not bizarre it's soddin BIZARRE ! MADNESS !
He's going to undo all the good recovery work that's been done in last 2-3weeks .
Llera one of most committed players at club what message does that send out to rest of team - reward for giving 100% is sack in effect ?

Agree7 Disagree0

MM pleeeeeeeeeeease lets keep Llera and get rid of Dave Jones instead. It would be much better for morale in the team and on the terraces.

Swfc to sign a striker and a loan move for another player maybe another CB as Miguel lleras agent has said we are not offering a contract to him and expects him to leave before end of January

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Big talk and on Radio Sheff that LLera isn't being offered a new contract in the summer...new CB being lined up

The arrogance of DJ after every match in blaming everyone and everything other than himself makes my head explode - your the manager and the buck stops with YOU - grow a backbone and take things on the chin more fans and players would give you more respect

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Well said mate I'm same does my head in totally. To hear him talk hes done nothing wrong since he came and its everybody else. theres only one believes that tho and thats him .
bet anybody that theres a clearout of some good players because they fell out with him thro bad patch. he was slaggin everybody else but bothroyd when he was only one not tryin

Swfc need to sign a proven striker and CB

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Midfielder more so than cb for me. Although we prob need 3 or 4 new players.Deffo a striker.
Defence isnt too bad but they have to do too much because they are under the cosh because of midfield

last week I came on here saying it
would be any three from four to go
down. Some agreed with me but one
or two did not. I did praise the four
game unbeaten run also.
Even despite that little run I still feel
Wednesday will need to go some to
finish fourth bottom. I said that even
Barnsley will have al little run of
results like we just had when their
new manager comes in. Peterboro'
and Bristol are more capable of
getting 2, 3 or more goals in a game
than Wednesday. I think peterboro
are the danger side. They loose alot
like us but because of their goalscoring
power they are more capable of
shocking a team like Cardiff away.
Our wins have come against bottom
half teams. Our win against millwall
was when they were struggling near
the bottom. Peterboro' know they
can beat even the top 6 teams on
any given day home or away.
When we play the hulls, leicesters
and Cardiff we play Ok but fire blanks
and lose the games. We need to
beat some of these sides when we
play them again. I stick by it Wednesday
will do well to stay up.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

We will have a hard job but i still think we will overtake a few clubs that maybe we dont expect to.
Barnsley might improve but we will bring some players in and improve ourselves.
MM will have to spend a few quid though cos freebies are no good.
If we did happen to go down we would walk league one and enjoy it like we did last season

Agree1 Disagree4

Dont want to but I have to agree with all that OP says, he got it spot on.
The only chance we got of outpacing 3 other teams at bottom is if MM spends £2-3mill in this window, which the rules do allow £3m this year, and bring in 3-4 good experienced players in key positions.
I dont think hes going to do that so we have to get lucky, really lucky, if we going to beat the drop.
But for the other poster to suggest that we would enjoy it is beyond me , we got to do evrything possible to stay up cos no guarantee you ever get back - anything can happen over a season !

Agree2 Disagree0

No don't get me wrong , i think we will stay up but if we did go down i think we would be straight back up.
We enjoyed last season and we'd enjoy league one again because we just want to see our team win games.
If we did go down we'd be in a better financial position than last time and we have good young players and experienced L1 players that wouldn't struggle to get us up.
We struggle in this league but we have too much advantage over the clubs down there with our crowds and finances.
Obviously staying up is better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes if we all stayed the same player and manager wise we would struggle.
But even then we should be able to manage 4th from bottom.
But i don't believe we will go down.
We will sign some players that will get us up the table.
We have 75% of a decent team(when reda is back).Just two good quality players would make all the difference and i believe we will get them.

Agree0 Disagree0

DJ brought in 16 players already, how many are suitable quality for now?
Hes improved our defence by getting rid of Beevers and Llera and bringing in Gardner and Taylor ?
Hes tried to improve our goalscoring by bringing in Bothroyd and Sidibe?
What is your confidence based on ?
