Adam le Fondre to be unveiled as a Wednesday player by 5pm Thursday evening. Megson went to meet the player and his agent yesterday evening to finalise terms on his contract, that's why he was absent from the Football Heaven Managers Special programme on BBC Radio Sheffield yesterday. Fee in the region of £400,000.
Also, Chris Wood from WBA will be arriving on a season-long loan come the end of next week. WBA just wanting to get their season up and running first.
The Gary Roberts story, was just a rumour. Megson did enquire about whether or not he was available, but Huddersfield are confident they can keep hold of their man by tying him to a contract offer better than he last time turned down.
Megson is interested in Joesph Holt who was released by Wigan at the end of last season.

Yes I would like this. Le Fondre is a bit of an unknown at this level but his record is good and speaks for itself.

Chris Wood also would be a healthy addition.

Roberts would be nice and the icing on the cake.

I know nothing about Holt, but if we got all three or just Wood and ALF I would be happy.

Uto le fondre will be wednesdayite by the end of the week

Although the season starts on Sat, there are still 29 days left in this transfer window. Forget about ALF. Yes he has done well in L2, but the standards are higher in L1 and even higher in the Championship. Let the Premier League clubs announce their 25man squads, then lets see what is available. We need to focus on quaility rather than quantity. I would rather have a 19 man squad of quality players rather than a 25 man squad of average players. GM & MM will do what is right for the club, when the time is right. We should not be held to ransom with inflated transfer fees and wage demands.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

And how many games do we play in them 29 days points that could be vital at end of season I agree we need better quality players but our league 1 status is putting them off hate to say this but I wish we had a youth system like sufc they can't stop bringing through quality players

Agree5 Disagree2

Wow somebody looking beyond Rochdale at home.

Well said mate couldn't agree more.

Crying into our beer about ALF do me a favour

Agree4 Disagree2

ALF is a good player with one of the best goal scroring records going which is why he is wanted at LEAGUE 1 level aswell as CHAMPIONSHIP level, just because he isnt proven at a league 1 level doesnt mean he cant do well there, do you suggest he spends the whole of his career in league 2 then seen as he isnt proven anywhere else?

Agree7 Disagree0

Correct 29 days till the window shuts, to the person asking how many games till then, we have a perfectly good enough 11 as it is now that can see us through this month, lets critisize at the end of the month if nothing else has happened

Wednesday might as well request a 5 a side league to FIFA. What happens when Morrison and Madine get injured. Weaver and Beevers up front

Wednesday will be getting TWO loan players in this week, and ONE full signing.
They are:
Danny N'Guessan loan from Leicester
Ben Marshall loan from Stoke
Liam Griffiths from Wolves full signing

Cook and Rowlands now look set to leave Loftus Road and could be joined by Leon Clarke, Gary Borrowdale and Antonio German.

COME HOME LEON

Surely Wednesday will snap cook up now, cant see roberts deal coming through.

Mandaric get your tight arse in gear and splash the cash. We have NINETEEN players 3 of which are keepers. Stop being a tight b*****d and buy some decent players in.

Told you so NO SIGNINGS BEFORE SATURDAY,
But you wouldn't believe me, UTO.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Funny that when i alf is signing today

Agree3 Disagree0

Two days on the trot, it's Tuesday mate. Just in case they haven't taught you the days of the week at junior school, there is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before Saturday.

Agree4 Disagree0

Why is ALF still in league two despite being a machine for the last 3-4 seasons?

We are all desperate for any signing now which we have paid the price for before.

Time to hold your nerve and wait for the premiership teams to name the 25 and let the rest filter down {Ed001's Note - it is because he is lazy.}
