Roll on the weekend and closing of the transfer window.
Kids back at school next week and then hopefully the adults can get some sensible Owls banter going instead of all this stupid, playground name-pushing just for the sake of it .

Leicester City are in turmoil. Pearson will be sacked if they do not get a result on Saturday against Blackpool. Owners very unhappy ready to pull plug, if so some good players could become available, Luke Moore, Vardy, Marshall. Would be nice if we stole a player of theirs.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Marshall along with Tom ince been called into england squad his value just rocketed its a shame but he is beyond us now.

Agree3 Disagree2

Most of the Leicester team are mercenaries, so unless we can offer them larger salaries (which I very much doubt) then I can't see any coming our way (Marshall included)

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree that a lot of Leicester signings are the type of player who measure career success in £'s rather than medals.
I for one wouldn't want to jeopardise what we are building for so called big-name players who think they are more important than the club they play for.
Some of our fans need to appreciate that what MM & now DJ are building is based on players who take a pride in their performance rather than what supercar is in the car park.
GM started the ball rolling by hammering home to the potential signings that Hillsborough is a special place and it takes a certain personality of player to be able to perform there. That brought back the pride to the club and set us on the recovery path.
DJ has commented ever since he came in that the attitude of the players is "spot-on" and he is taking us onward and upward now but still reinforcing the size & demands of the club to the players.

Agree1 Disagree2

Agree that the players take pride in performance but it is their job and they need to maximise earnings. I do think team spirit is excellent and they work for each other and this has certainly continued to improve under Jones. Improved results came as a result of playing as a team rather than a bunch of individuals. Character/backbone is important for a succesful player which ever team they play for. We have recruited well under Mandaric.

Kirkland is a good shot stopper perhaps better than Bywater but I don't think I've seen a better keeper at this level for installing confidence in the defence than Bywater. He came in after the fiasco at Stevenage and the defence instantly looked much better. I didn't see the Fulham game but he's back and we keep a clean sheet. Coincidence? may be.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Agree think Kirkland better goalkeeper but Bywater excellent at organising defence. Hopefully defenders will learn from him.

Agree3 Disagree0

We are lucky to be blessed with 2 very good keepers. But dont put to much emphasis on the fact Fulham failed to score with Bywater in goal. The work on the defence will have been done on the training ground and Fulham didnt exactly test the keeper.Kirkland is obviously DJs first choice will Reda return on saturday are we going to sacrifice his goals for a tighter defence only DJ knows that he will make the selection that he thinks will get us the results

The Wednesday player getting even worse than before now it won't play Fulham high lights stops and starts on match and don t get any joy from them that's running it. Tell me what's the point of payin for it.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Agreed I'm gonna give it another 2weeks then cancel if no better.

Agree1 Disagree0

Me Too it`s getting ridiculous, I manage to go to nearly ever match, I pay for it because I like the Interviews and when on hols I can listen in, just got back other week and can tell you it would`nt load at all there. Not impressed.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree also. Emailed them 5 times and still getting no where. They tell you the same thing about delete corrupted cookies re load browser. It's not my machine! It's your crap changes! Last season it was fine so what have you changed? Frustrated!

Agree1 Disagree0

It is poor and they need to realise this. In addition to functionality not wrking the site itself is lacking content. Development qsuad and Academy squad details are not published. It would be nice to see team selected for Academy or Development squad but just a few lines that could have been written by lady selling bacon rolls and teas. Had a look on site last night after a person wrote in to player and complained. With Milan money talks so if threat of leaving becomes reality expect action. Could I suggest everyone sends mails to player when next match commentary on it may work.

No stadium expansion planned, but Site searching for new stadium development! ARCADIS AYH employee info (Bulldozing the hole down the road and building w.c facilities opposite the new Wednesday stadium I feel. Loo with a view. Expect season tickets to be sold shortly and corporation for the privilege)

Translator please !
Another illiterate Blunt methinks !

Agree3 Disagree0

Just listened too Football Heaven and Radio Sheffield read out a couple of mails tweet from a so called Wednesday fan slagging mandaric off. Also on here some vile comments about players management that are just tripe. I too suspect they are not Wednesday fans. If they are so called Owls fans they are deluded in thinking the club would have survived without a multi-millionaire investor taking over and there was only one who stumped up the cash.

just curious what does people think to this,

McCoist confirms free transfer for Broadfoot!

would he play well for the MASSSIVE..?!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Very difficult to judge with Scottish players, some come south with enormous reputations and never lve up to it. I follow football closely and MCCabe had not registered with me. He is a gem of a player and one who can make an impact at an higher level. Now confident if we bring any scots in they will be up to mark.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would have him for sure. Solid player and bags of experience, would be great for this league and can be played all across the back, but CB initially. Only draw back is that he hasn't scored for a good few years now I don't think. We are used to our defenders scoring right?

Agree0 Disagree1

Good squad player. Worth a punt on a free. Sit him down and tell him to play his socks off with 2-3 years left in him and he could well be in the prem with the massive.

Agree0 Disagree1

McCabe is going be a great player.

Agree3 Disagree0

Look at reynolds he had great repetation but has failed to be succesful

Agree2 Disagree0

Reynolds got off to a bad start, McCabe didn't. So I also, agree that he could turn out to be a Reyt player.

hi thought id just say coke was awesome lastnight

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Trust me there will be some snotty nosed reply saying Coke misdirected a pass after 38 mins so he is crap or something to that effect.

Agree1 Disagree0

Also I would say Daniel Jones played well a specialist left back and for the first time this season no goals against. He came in a lot of moans from fans saying why pick him he did a competent job against premiership players,I am not saying he should replace Reda but its more competition at LB so Reda needs to step up and improve his defensive qualities.

Agree7 Disagree0

I was a fan who was not keen on O'Grady,Johnson, Coke and Daniel Jones and was critical of them. However I can not fault the improvement they have all shown. They all appear to be positionally better players than this time last year. Coke did well at Oldham when his introduction helped change course of game. Last night he was effective and overall performance was a very good in anyones book. Jones also made a goodcontribution and considering it was his first game of the season he lasted the pace very well. Think players should be judged on current performance rather than any baggage from a previous regime.

Agree5 Disagree0

From the game I was watching bevers was constantly coming in behind Daniel jones and covering for him not slagging him off he needs more games but did look out of his Depth against a very average fulham one for the future I feel you could tell the difference between our quality players and fringe players

Agree1 Disagree1

I'm just grateful Fulham didn't try to work it down the wing yesterday

Agree0 Disagree2

To the person who said Fulham did not work it down the wing they tried but we stopped them. They played wingers but could not get them into the game. Jones had a role to fill and he did it and put a shift in so deserves a slap on back.

Agree3 Disagree0

You mean Beevers was doing what Defenders do cover one another.

Just a quick thanks to all concerned at Hillsborough for the huge improvement at our football club. The Small at S2 are so far in the shadow of The Massive at S6 and the buzz is back. Thanks.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Would'nt be surprised if united did'nt finish in top six this term.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yep and I wouldn't be surprised if they failed to go up regardless

I know this run can't go on for ever, I can't see us doing an Arsenal Invincibles type, run the championship is too hard a league to do that, but i'm going to enjoy it as long as it lasts. I haven't felt such a feel good atmosphere round the club for a long time, probably since the premiership years, and its great that the fans optimism and confidence seems to be spurring on the team. Looking forward to a couple more shrewd DJ signings before the window and a couple of good loan players and we have the makings of a great team this year. UTO

Believable7 Unbelievable0

The Championship has been won in recent years by a lot less points than other divisions illustrating your point of being highly competative. A good run last year before Christmas almost earned us a place in play offs on its own. Hope we can keep run going to Christmas at least so it puts us in good position.

I am amazed how several of our players have improved so much since DJ took over.
O'Grady - is a different player this year positional play much better and he looks a yard quicker and findng back of net regularly.
J Johnson - simply outstanding this season looks quicker than ever, more awareness of others on pitch and tracking back effectively.
Beevers - now looks like the player he was when he first came into team and looks stronger and developing good partnership with Llera.
Lines - was sensational in pre season until injured, which built on improved form at end of last season.
I am not saying others have not improved they have but all of the above have changed fans views of them and have earned future at owls.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Great to hear from a fan who recognises that players can improve , totally agree with your observations, would add Llera and Reda to the list as well.

Agree3 Disagree0

DJ must take full credit for the jump in standards of all the team.I think they are responding to his to his football vision his own work rate is unbelievable and he believes in this club the fans the Chairman the tea lady the groundsman his enthusiasm is contagious in 51yrs of watching this great club I have never felt more affinity towards a manager and he is putting my club on a level I never thought I would see in my lifetime Thanks DJ MM and long may it continue
