With Amado and Prutton out, does this leave the door open for Owen Hargreaves? Rumours are that he is training with us.

Hope we got a profit on Amado... What the hell was all that about?

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Simple ... he couldn't settle in a strange country, where's the mystery?

We need a new central midfielder asap; Semedo, McCabe and Coke are all good, as is Lines, but that just isn't enough depth

Agree1 Disagree1

Pretty sure we will.

Ok so we have cleared out two midfield players today. Hence we will definitely be recruiting in this area as now very short of central midfield players.

Please lets cut out the criticism of Reda and some of our other young players.
Older fans will know that all the John Terrys & Frank Lampards & Chris Waddles & David Hirsts in fact everybody who have ever made a name at this game made mistakes when they were young players ... thats how they learned how NOT to make them .
Reda is a real talent , bags of energy and enthusiasm and scores goals for fun. Yes he makes mistakes but every player does, he just has to reduce how many he makes and youve then got a Prem. defender who scores goals playing for the Mighty Owls !
DJ is putting together a very young but capable squad, we're going to see a lot of them make mistakes cos thats how you learn. But lets not scream for them to be dropped every time they do otherwise we'll never see them develop in to the quality players they will be one day cos they'll be playing for somebody else.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Agree but think some of more negative comments are not from Owls fans.

Nigel Reo-Coker is a free agent may be worth having a look

Believable3 Unbelievable5

As of Friday theres 100s of free agents available ..... lets have em all eh ?
Building a team isnt just about grabbing names, its finding players that work well together and fit the pattern /way that you want to play. DJ knows best.

Agree7 Disagree2

With Amado and Prutton gone i think he would be a good player to cover in the middle of the park defiantly good enough and can add that experience that we could do with as we have a very young squad

Agree2 Disagree0

DJ Knows best.

Coker has a rep for unsettling team spirit. Which is something we have in abundance at the moment.

here is a question for all owls fans,we all love the forward runs of reda, but are truthfully worried about him getting caught out of position, what would you all think as a trial of mattock left back, and reda left mid field.i know it means dropping others which is why i said as a trial.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Trials like that should be done during training or preseason do you want to risk a good start to season on something like this

Agree7 Disagree1

There has to come a point at which to weigh the thrust and goals that Reda gives us against the goals that are conceded from opposition attacks down our left flank.I feel sure that DJ has this constantly in mind and will be all too aware of the trade-off. Up to him.

Certainly can't drop JJ at the moment either.

Agree4 Disagree0

As long as we are scoring more than we're conceeding why change the left back posituon when he is one of our biggest goal threats and defensively best headers aswell. Stop talking crap

Agree2 Disagree3

JJ is on fire

Orig' poster:

I agree 100% am a massive samedo fan, appreciate the ugly side of the game and the work he does off the ball. I just think its great and competitive now as he has players as good as him playing around him.

Last season he was first name on team sheet by a mile for me - I don't think he's got any worse, just others have lifted their game.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Abve post is spot on, he is now a member of a better team and work not as noticeable. Thought he had one of his quieter games on saturday as Millwall were good in middle of park, so presented a much more difficult task than many games last season. more difficult to dominate.

Agree2 Disagree0

Samedo is a far better player now than when he joined the club.He seems to have found his spiritual home he loves the club the fans love him and he has responded brilliantly from day one the fans loved him and his game has developed along with the club he is approaching his prime as a player andI am so glad he is doing it for us
