Hi guys, am an Everton fan just trying to find out how Ross Barkley has been doing for you so far? Am I right in thinking he started of quite slowly but is starting to find his feet? Hope results pick up for you-I like Dave jones (former blue)

He's had his best game so far for us tonight by all accounts. Hope the loan works out for both clubs.
Sorry nobody replied sooner but its probably because we've had a lot of a***hole Leeds fans coming on pretending to be somebody else just to stir crap up.... but you like everybody else knows what they are !

Barkley started the season steady just like a few other new faces but the team is now playing good football especially Ross just hope DM doesn't call him back

Was always the first to slate barkley and even posted on your own site about how poor he was but now im having to eat my own words last night and friday he has been fantastic just hope he keeps it up

Kirkland always plays. We always concede.

Not sticking up for Kirkland but last night he made 3 great saves when defence was caught on break.
For me the defence is the real problem, and its not WHO - its HOW ! ........ they just don't know how to defend ??
If we dont get a decent coach in who knows how to set up a defence we'll struggle not to concede goals - against anybody!
Burton was obviously the football brains behind DJ, hes been lost since he went.

So come on lads any guesses at how many we'll lose by tonight and how many Jordan Rhodes will get? Could be an embarrassing scoreline this one and could be the final nail in DJ's coffin. My prediction is Blackburn 4 Wednesday 1 and Rhodes will score 2.

Some of the diabolical posts put on these pages in last couple of weeks are clearly not from true Wednesday fans. Gardner, Boothroyd and Barkley have improved every game and looked excellent against Leeds. Corry also did well. Just hope Leeds get just deserts and end up in Conference.

Some people don't smell the coffee. DJ has lost the plot. With luck we'll get some sort of draw tonight but I have no confidence we'll do any better. MM needs to act before we end up drifting at the bottom and before the dreamers try and write me off I was supporting the Owls when many of the kids on here weren't born.

Well I have supported wednesday for 59 years and I will support them till the day I die, give them time to gel they looked good against leeds and they did show that they can get better. I think they are improving with every game. dont start to panic (yet) we will come good UTO

Been an owl nearly as long and I think we may have agreed before ? But I think your right, specially after tonights match , only thing we need is results cos performances been there last two games, against two strong sides?

Not trying to get one up on you but I have been going to Hillsborough since 1948 and I have seen some goods team and some very bad ones, good managers and rubbish managers. The current crop of players has the making of a very good team, we have young talented players but we do not have the quality right now. After the game last night DJ lamented the lack of fire power and that he would have to look at his squad to find more fire power. So of the players that he has brought in, is going to improve our firepower. Rodri doesn't look has though he knows where he is, he might improve given time but he is not the answer right now. Maguire, signed on a three year deal can't get anywhere near the first team and his goal scoring record in the past is not that good, and Bothroyd looks quality in midfield but not as a striker. Has for O'Grady and Madine, O'Grady is a tireless worker up front but not a natural or prolific goal scorer. Madine is talented he is still only 22yrs, is learning his trade and not played at this level before nor had a sustained run in the team. Is the answer to bring someone in who can improve the firepower or change the style of play and give the loan striker some support? DJ said we did not test the goalkeeper enough last night but waited until the 76min of a game last to change the formation that is not good tactics.

1948 Owl I totally agree. Jones signings thus far have either been poor (Taylor) or for the future we need someone for now.
