Sad to say but once again promotion seems a long way away for us, the squad is simply not good enough, our targets at the start of the month are no closer to signing and the players we are starting to be linked with simply arent good enough for a club our size. I really hope we get a winger in before the Rochdale game who can run at defenders, as opposed to the usual lackluster long balls we seem to rely on to get to the forwards. Also get a proven goalscorer in, Morrison hasnt impressed and with the departure of Paul Heffernan, its a position in need of strengthening, forget Mellor he seems to think hes still a Liverpool player with the wages he is wanting.

I agree, bookies have us as one the favourites to go up, just can't see it happening, i hope im wrong, we need a striker.

Well like you say here, if we get those players we need then we will be a force no doubt, striker is main priority though

Agree with ONE thing - promotion is a long way off - I reckon it's about 40odd matches away I share everyone's frustration at the lack of quality signings but our destiny will be decided at the END of the season NOT the start. We don't need WORLD CLASS players to get out of League 1. AND Even if MM was willing to dig deep - which he's not - they wouldn't come anyway The MAIN thing we've got in our favour is our manager - Gary Megson HAS got pedigree . We can only hope that when he has got us within striking distance, which he WILL, MM will then start to build a squad for the next stage .

I agree wednesday are s**t no ambition megson is not a manager and manderic is looking after him self why do people keep goinig on about mellor if he wants 9 grand a week and our budgits 5 Grand a week for get the gready c*** he is not worth 9 grand a week any way he is all for him self bookies should be making us favourites to go down not up

He cost Ipswich 750k, he failed there and yet he's now moving for 3 million LOL
