You are probably all aware that Mr Megson as missed out on a couple of his targets.

We fully expect Danny Batth to sign on loan, Wolves will up the offer to Reading for Matt Mills which will then give us the green light. 90/ 10 in favour.

Jason Koumas was on Megson's list and this could still happen, are we still big enough to pull this one off. 50/ 50 this one.

Jason Scotland is a new target, wages again might be an issue.70/ 30 in favour.

Julien Bennett is a left back who becomes a free agent on the 1st of July, an offer is on the table. 70/ 30 in favour.

Neil Mellor deal should be wrapped up this week, its abit messy that one. 80/ 20 in favour.

Danny Green, we are still interested although a bid as been accepted by D&R for the winger from the championship.30/ 70 not in favour.

We are also in discussions with a couple of wingers, a left sided winger is seen as a must.

Hopefully all this will come good and we can look forward to a very positive season.

Not be long now Owls, a bit more patience needed, it will be worth it.

Jason Scotland . . . . . . 33 goals in 66 games for St Johnston . . 45 goals in 90 games for Swansea . . Ok didn't hack it in premier with Wigan . . In and out season at Ipswich where new manager didn't give him a fair crack but still scored 10 goals . .WHO in this League wouldn't want Jason Scotland ? I think this is another part of the jigsaw fingers crossed.

Anyone else notice a pattern emerging this summer? We seem to be missing out on every target, especially young targets linked to the club. The only players we've signed are almost at the end of their careers and according to Ipswich Town websites (see newsnow) we've confirmed an interest in Jason Scotland. Whilst younger players Danny Green and Jimmy Ryan, etc are all going elsewhere it seems. I don't expect us to win every race for an player we're linked with. But surely, we should be attractive to these types of players. Something must be going wrong or MM, PA and GM need to sell the club and our ambition better to these players to bring them in. Hopefully they can bring in Chris O'Grady. But if we keep missing on targets, we've got to wonder what's going on and whether or not we've got the right manager at the helm to bring in the right players to get us out of this division. Because if all we bring in this summer is players no better than we've already got and who are at the end of their careers then it's going to be a similar season to last season I'm afraid.

Great point . Do we really need championship players this season , the players we are being linked with all the teams in our league would be over the moon with , let's walk before we start running , Megson will be out in january if we are not in contention GUARANTEED ! !

Yes but deals can still be arranged, the only difference is that players can't join till 1st of july!
