MM due in court on Monday 2week trail could this effect our transfers this month.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

He will probably have left Paul Aldridge with the wallet for any deals that come up.
Thats a real problem cos I'm sure Aldridge's bonus is gets to keep any money he doesn't spend !!
He's definitely not an Owl !!

There has been a lot of talk about "hoofball" and associated criticism of the manager. Looking back at the best Wednesday teams, we have always had a creative midfield player :someone to pick up the ball and pass it effectively -Albert Quixall, John Sheridan or the quieter John Quinn. We have no such player on our books and that type will not be in a rush to come to us and fight it out in February mud at the likes of Walsall and Yeovil. Megson can work only with what he has. Stick with him - until he has something more creative to work with. If then he reverts to "hoofball", that is the time to criticise and not before.

A good creative midfielder is worth his weight in gold. Unfortunately we don't have that kind of tender.

Well said , I echo every word of that.
Megson has squeezed every ounce out of this squad up to now and when the lack of quality starts to tell , somehow that's his fault?? I wonder who these people think would be queuing up to take his place anyway ? We've got the very best man for the job at this time in our history, just give him the support he deserves and let him take us as far as he can.

I agree about Megson, he's doing a good job. Last two home league games have been hoofball, but previously we have played a mixed game. I'd like to see our players close down the opposition wingers better - its as if we set up to let them pepper our box and rely on our bigger players to deal with it. Despite our good home record most games have been heart in mouth stuff!
As for a creative midfielder - has anybody noticed a certain Chris Lines? Not in the class of the players mentioned above, but him & Semedo complement each other in a similar way to Sheridan/Palmer.
There's too much panicking & negativity among our fans at times. Keep the faith. It will click again.

Lifelong owl is one of few that speak sence on here.
