Madine, a finisher? Since when? He's an average league 1 striker at best. Not fit, not good enough, slow, and we've done ok without him so why upset it all? Sell him and use funds for fryatt or similar!

Fans inflated opinion of this guy does not help Madine. Think he believes he is that good and does not realise its hard graft that counts being put on a pedestal does not get goals andwin you matches. Just hope dose of eality he has just had as made a difference to attitude. Such comments above have to be earned and not just handed out.

Harry redknapp to quit management for a new role at the end of the season according to a Sunday news paper. Could he be our new director of football?

That would be unbelievable - so it probably is.
Sadly we're about 200miles too far from South Coast for Harry to be interested.

Managers can go by seel why date quickly and from Harry's performance this year it may be one season too fa fom him. Strong rumours and London Laudrup to replace him at QPR. Redknapp could do a DOF role although think he would want to be boss over coaches.
Personally would like a much lower profile DOF as a large ego could rock boat.
Personally think Chris Turner would be best man for job. He brought some excellent talent to club when he was manager (Chris Bunt, Glen Whelan) and as one of primary roles of DOF is spotting and securing talent think he would do well.
In addition think he enjoys backroom role and financial wheeler dealing which is not SG.
Interested if anybody has any thoughts on who would be suitable and realistic candidates for job.

Not going to offer any names up for DOF because I think Milan will bring in a "not too well known foreigner" to give us a chance to bring in some additional "cheaper" talent from continent.
But can't see Chris Turner giving up Chief Exec job at Chesterfield, and I def don't think Harry has a big ego, never heard of any issues with anybody.
