If a takeover is happening and they have the money to take us onwards and upwards why not get mm to get wickham in now and give money back to mm in takeover deal uto

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just like lending your mate a fiver for a drink while Friday you mean - only it's five million?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mandaric won't spend serious money on anyone, all rumours about a takeover makes me wonder, we won't buy anyone because we are going through a takeover, come end of month when transfer window shuts hey presto, we've signed knowone and mandaric is still owner.

Expiring contracts - we have a number due to expire end of season. These are my thoughts be interested in othes.

Kirkland - Keep class goalkeeper
Jamieson - Release lack of progress
LLera - Release defending not of championship standard
Taylor - Release has rarely shown qualities required.
Loovens - If continues to do well would keep hold of him
Gardner - Was quality playe before injury if fully recovered would retain.
Onyewu - Too early but 2nd half display on debut was very promising.
Semedo - Retain unless we have superior quality midfield player lined up. Had difficulties last season but has now come to tems with Championship football, not spectatcular but reliable.
Lavery - Retain - Shown real promise of late and threatening to be decent championship striker.
Floro - Release does not appear to have made necessary progress
Obilye - Release does not appear to be able to apply his obvious physicality
Johnson - Retain still has pace and good squad player, impact of the bench player.
Prutton - His performance on Sky and Radio Sheffield showed him to be a thoughtful witty and nowledgeaable. I suspect he would make a good coach or media pundit. Since Wilkinson and Jones left there has been requirement for further coach think he should be offered role as player coach in charge of u/21s.

May have missed some contracts whiich ae due to expire appreciate any considered views.

Milan as been on tv sport saying he is in no rush to appoint a new manager plus he also refused to say if he will talk to Paul ince. My guess is by middle of February the club will be taken over and Stuart Gray will be shown the door'what other reason could there be for him not to get the job he should have got it weeks ago.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Difficult to explain curent situation. Last year when Gray came Coke and Prutton were drafted into team and formed effective midfield pertnership. Just a thought but when they both ovecome current problems if gray has same impact on them as last year we could have competition for central midfield. Unheard of for a few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coke has the talent, but only about 10 mins or so a game. Hence his many clubs in England an Scotland. Prutton maybe past it

After listening to MM interview I have to say the slimmy toad is defantley hiding something!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree he was hiding something, but sometimes it does not pay to be open. There is something which is preventing him making the obvious call. If this is to safeguard any possible investment I will support his stance. He denied any involvemen or nterest in Wednesday when he was heavily involved in negotiations so I take with a pinch of salt his comments re investment interest.

Still feel our main aim this transfer window is to get Wickham on a loan deal till the end of the season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just hope we got a back up plan lined up for if it doesn't

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree it should be no. 1 priority however feel I is purley up to wickham and what he wants to do so think its a 50/50. Again as above we need to have plan be because we ve beeen there before

I have to admit that the only place I have seen or heard the rumour of Paul Ince becoming our manager is on here. I can't see why everyone is getting worked up about it. Stuart Gray is doing a good job and it has taken no outlay of money from MM to put him as manager, ok he may have got a small salary increase but nothing like the salary Ince would want. As I put in a previous post the only reason I can think of that Gray has not been publically announced as manager is that a takeover is happening and the people taking over have a man in place that they want in charge.
