Im sorry to say this but most of people thinking that mm is tight. well it look like to me he being careful. yes we need to buy some decent players to get promoted but where i see it that he being careful cos he in court for tax invasion and he doesnt want to bring wednesday down if he found guilty. has any of u thought of that. that why he not spending much and only getting loan players in. we already been in that mess and he got us out of it. dont think he want wednesday to go back to the doom and gloom again. let see what happen in summer transfer then judge him but in my eye he doing a great job. rant over!

You may well be right about the pending court case and MM being careful.
But if that is why he doesn't want to spend his money, he should say that and stop telling the fans that he is going to spend on the team because some of us want to believe what he says and not take it with a pinch of salt.

I keep posting about MM "talking the talk" to the fans in public whilst being more than reluctant to spend on the team - and I keep getting shouted down.
If you need more proof read Yorkshire Post article today, Megson is practically begging MM to "walk the walk" if we want promotion. - " you can't win a formula one race with a Skoda" .
He suggests we could get Marshall for £1/2m if we want him?
He also points out how he's reduced size of squad to make way for the promised signings?
It's time for MM to live up to his promises to Megson and the fans or -- stop making them and leading us all on !

Having money in your pocket is one thing, finding someone to spend it on is an entirely different matter. What makes you think Stoke would let Marshall go for as little as £500,00 ? They have already turned down more than that.

Please read the article before you respond .
In answer to your other point , regardless of what clubs think the player is always in total control of who he plays for and when, unless the club are happy to pay him wages for playing in reserves till end of his contract.
Don't think that is right because it gives players all the power , but that is truth of situation. .
Good example is Tevez, how much have ManC. paid him since he refused to go on as sub? Yes I know they fined him but I bet he's still earned a small fortune without kicking a ball !

Did read the article and also listened to the interview from which many of the quotations were taken. Also noted that GM was at pains to point out that he is not involved in finance. I appreciate that the situation is very difficult for him and that he must be losing patience : that is how the interview sounded, but he fell well short of what appears, according to the journalist's presentation, to be an attack on his chairman. I hope very much that the YP was overstretching what GM said. If ,in fact, your interpretation turns out to be correct, I shall, of course, apologise to you. However,if it is the case that GM is indulging in public criticism of his employer, it is a very dangerous situation -for both GM and the club.

I agree it would be dangerous for GM to criticise his employer , but it must be doubly frustrating for him.
He believes he's capable of , and is desperate to , put the club he has always supported back in the Championship - at the very least.
He has numerous promotions in his CV to support that view.
I believe GM's frustration is the same as mine - it's not that MM won't spend his money , that's his choice its his money . The frustration is that he keeps making public statements, one very recently, that he will "support the manager in whatever he wants to do" & "I will make £5m available in January" but not matching that with the funds he himself has promised .
For Megson it is even worse because he feels we are so close to being able to almost ensure promotion , and if we do fail MM will probably do what he always does - sack the manager whilst repeating what he's saying now that he gave the manager all the support he needed ?
I don't believe this is a fantasy view of the current situation, do you?
