good to see madine out of jail. hope he has sorted himself out and is going to give us 100% commitment. he deserves a second chance and I hope we keep him. gary madine goal machine.

Well Madine is out apparently, everyone asking the question " will he be any help to us? " my answer " yes" seen as he's only a league 1 striker he will be a help next season when we go down this season!

Why a blunt?

Most probably a blunt but might be one of our utterly defeatist fans that just cannot see us doing well and I think would get pleasure from us getting relegated. If he gives 100% and cleans up his act off the field, which a spell in prison hopefully has sorted, then I think he will be a very good player for us.

Gary madine has been released from prison today! Anyone think this is going to help our season at all? Would like to see the lad given a chance to prove himself again personally!

Agree, we all do/did stupid things when we young, its whether you learn from it that counts and I think everybody deserves a 2nd chance.
My only worry is whether he upset any of other players before he went to court because he was up in Carlisle for last few weeks?
Squad seem really together again and last thing we want is anything to upset that. But apart from that Madine has got a lot to prove and I would much rather him do it for us than anybody else.

Hes been training and stronger and nobody knows defence wise how he will be so I think he will shock some teams, give the young lad a second chance and till end of the season and he maybe our own equivelent to connor wickham! uto xxx

Give the lad a chance, he is not injured, not tired and I would think he will be desperate to prove himself to be a good, not great player, with the Owls. At least he is still on the wage bill we will not need extra cash and he might be, hopefully, like a new player. Here's hoping.

Nobody condones what he did whether you are affiliated to Sheffield Wednesday or any other club for that matter. But he is young and he will resume his career with someone so why not Sheffield Wednesday?? If he wants to be a strong man the best way is to knuckle down and show mental strength to silence the boo boys.
The strength of a man is in the mentality not in using violence in daily life, unless you are a boxer etc etc.

Agree with post about hoping don't effect team spirit. He has all the qualities but just needs to put that hard work and consistency with it. Worth giving another chance tho

general banter and a suggestion read that shola ameobi has hinted at the age of 32 he wants to leave newcastle at the end of the season, how bout we try get him earlier like we did with Ranger from newcastle and this time resurect Ameobis carreer, any suggestions yes or no? uto xxx
