It is strange, isn't it? We have the best and most loyal supporters in the land and yet there is among us a persistent minority who like to pick on an individual player - e.g. James O'Connor and now Chris Maguire before he has even arrived. How do they think that helps a player's confidence ? How does it help him to perform to his best for us ?
People read to much into reports on players trust in dj he wont sign anyone that he thinks will not improve the team hes done ok so far without anybodies expert opinion on here or other sites trust him
I doubt McGuire will be an avid reader of sheff wed rumours. So I'm sure his feeling will not be hurt.
It should just make the lad more determined to silence the knockers, but i doubt he reads this anyway probably busy counting his signing fee i would be
Sadly hostility from these knockers can be heard on the pitch and it certainly disturbed James O'Conor when the lad was givng his all for the team.
There is some truth in your comment regards O'connor, but he wasn't good enough. As long as fans pay the money to watch games they own the right to make themselves heard.
I really doubt that it has any effect on the managers decisions.
Its a free country, at the moment the only thing free is opinion and everybody has there own. It would be a sad world if we all had the same opinions
Talking about picking on players, Tommy Spurr and Darren Potter had ridiculous hate tipped on them, Spurr was our left back of the decade and Darren Potter was technically the best player in the squad at that time.
I dont agree with slating players but it is our hard earned cash that pays there ridiculous wages, so we have a right to voice our opinion, and before you say wednesday players aren't well payed, more than a grand a week or an hour and a half on a saturday is over paid
