Not a rumour however fell that a skillful pacey strike that can actually score as well as create is what we need. Think johnny russle of dundee utd would be a great addition. He was banging them in for them last year and when I saw him play he looked class. Skillful and rapid pace as well as been clinical and the best header of the ball ive seen especially for his size. I know its scottish league but hes quality! Uto

Simon Donnelly was class for Celtic. Pants for us.

I think poster is correct this lad looks a useful player and could play at Championship level. McKay-Steven is another in same team who looks to have what it takes at this level.

Well only a couple of weeks ago we played at Kilmarnock, an SPL team and won 1-4. The void in class between the Championship and the SPL is there to be seen.

Quite simply - no, and by that I mean, NO to signing another poor player from Scotland.

Bothroyd will have to accept a lower wage if he is to sign for the Owls. Deal is looking less likely, despite DJ knowing the player well. Owls are being prudent and would prefer players with a resale value.

Agree fully with post he is aChampionship player on Premier wages at moment. He will not be improving at age 30 (surprised he was this old) and will have to get confidence back so not certain to be hit he was a couple of seasons back. Warnocks major weakness as manager is he invests in older players who can not be moved on and become a burden for a club. Doing same at Leeds.

Sheffield Wednesday are set to sign Jose Baxter. After rejecting a new contract at Everton, Baxter is available on a free. DJ may have spoken to Moyes about him when he visited Goodison last week. (He was a wonderkid on one of the versions of Football Manager :D )

You do know that Football Manager is only a game ?
Quoting FM assessment of a player don't mean a lot !
Having said that he would be a good signing if it happens.

HYou can nt believe that someone uses Football Manager as a reference, what a lump.

Chris o Grady is as good as Andy caroll or Jay bothroyd on his day so let's give him a chance.. We don't need bothroyd he's someone apart from scoring 1 in every 3 chances his work rate is rubbish he's slow so let's get real an sign someone who has an eye for goal an abit of a speed merchant cus that's what Wednesday are missing. Dj cambell, ranger, Frazier cambell (his manager said he could loan him out) Jon Sutton, Ricardo fuller, beckford, kenwyne jones any one from this list would do fine but in DJ we trust so let's wait an see!

Agreed, COG is as good as a lot of the names being bandied about. He has his faults but so does every other player at this level !
Also agree that more pace is needed up front to match Antonios pace.

HE is a good whole hearted honest pro, but not in Andy Carroll mould. He has suffered in scoring record has been poor and first touch not the best but against Oldham showed a marked improvement in ball control. DJ says try to improve players and may have done so in this case.
