The money has still not arrived into the lens account.
This is why there promotion has been turned down again.
Probably this is why the delay with us.
Their ground is also not up to League 1 standards. This is the main reason for no promotion.

MM has not seen a penny from Mammadov. Not from the shirt sponsorship or the 40 million he apparently paid for us. Fc Lens have not been promoted because Mammadov is flat broke, And so are we. Nothing new then. FLIPPIN JOKE.

FC lens promotion is still blocked after their appeal was rejected. They'll be playing in FL2 again next year. I really hope Mammadov is for real.
After reading this part of the story I am starting to have some concerns regarding the ratification from the FL.DNCG have now rejected Lens’ protests with the missing funds having still not arrived in the clubs account. I think if this is not sorted soon the FL will take a dim view on this,and could be why it hasn't happened as quick as mm would like. up the massive!
If you look on the French football league page, it says one of the reasons RC Lens will not be promoted is their ground is not up to league 1 standards.
Mammadov is not broke, he is a rich man. Mertel is not very good and tried to be smart with Mammadov and French FA. It has backfired big style. The ground problem is the biggest issue and this needs to be addressed.
Actually think problems in France are god news for Wedneday. He had proisedthem a budget of 48 million Euros for season, of which 38 million has been lodged with club. The French FA want evidence of all budget up front before season starts which it appears Mammadov was not aware of. Personally think this is excuse by French FA as they do not want a team who do not have their own ground.
If he will not be spending money with them he can spend it on Wednesday.

Though I have every respect for SG, I must confess to some apprehension at the thought of our committing significant funds to someone who must be now toward the end of his career. If he comes I hope that his skills will override concern about age.
