Have it on very good authority ( and I know that is a phrase some people on this site flutter about) but this is from the guys mouth. Gary madine has said he has been told by dj that he is not wanted and the club are currently talking with Millwall about a transfer, loan on permanent.

I am getting frustrated at the lack of movement from Wednesday. This season is huge. We have to stay up. Mandaric is getting older now...this will be his last club. I just think what is the point not gambling a bit to stay up. What would be the point in not....getting relegated and then having to spend to get promoted again.

Season ticket holder...and although Christmas wasn't too bad it wasn't really a revival...we were lucky against the teams we beat. We look really slow, lack creativity and knowledge of how to break teams down. Antonio was not worth the summer of chasing...although I can understand after last season why we did. The only signings I see who have worked are lee, Gardner and to an extent Kirkland.

Get your act together Wednesday...massive month coming up.

If this is true then perhaps DJ ought to ponder on the fact that a team above us in the league and playing better than we are, has already snapped up a player who wasn't considered good enough for us to keep. If they are now interested in a young striker with time to develop, (another of his "rejects") they may just have better judgment than he has. Add to this the Rodri saga and one has to question DJ's basic ability.

And it has taken DJ a very long time to realise that Lee's best position is on the pitch

Got to disagree about the antonio part.
Hes not had good forwards to pass to but he grafted and looked better than most this season.

So Barkley joins the list of players who prefer not to join DJ's army ?

Believable5 Unbelievable0

The only players we will get are the over 30s who carn't get a game anywhere else ie the cast offs nobody wants! Why ? Because spending money cuts in mm profit when he sells us. Uto

Let's be honest barkley was a good prospect but never set the world on fire maybe in 3 or 4 years but not now

Ross Barkley has joined Leeds United on an initial one-month loan - another one we have missed outy on - i have no faith in our management at all to bring the best players in either on loan or full deals #dissapointedagain

Were all doooooooommmed

Barkley is going to play for England one day and be a top player

I wouldn't want to come and play under
Corporal Jones either

At least the ticket prices will be cheaper next season

barkley gone to leeds praise the lord now they will have a massive dip in form and end up worse than us

Barkley was awful at wednesday and deffiniitly not good enough for championship

Agree5 Disagree3

He was good on his day but had a few quiet games.
We don't really need him, we need someone who is more consistant and can boss the middle a bit more. Some more experienced.
I'd sign him if everton were mad enough to sell him but he's one for the future.

I get the feeling that MM is not backing DJ as he has seen the carp he brought in in the summer and doesn't want him doing the same and wasting his money now. MM really wants rid of DJ as he is not getting the team to perform so damaging his investment but the key is the severence package in DJ's contract. His agent apparently managed to get a large payoff writen into the contract and MM accepted it at the time as things were looking good. Now in hindsight I bet MM wishes he hadn't let him have that. As we know MM has been trigger happy at previous clubs so there must be something stopping him sacking DJ as if we get relegated his investment i.e. the price of the club will drop massively.

I played with nicky walker of rotherham 2 years ago & a friend of his. I recently saw him in the oasis gym were he goes & said he doesnt want to leave south Yorkshire. I would definately say he is worth a bid as many premiership clubs are after him (ssn tc)
