Well, you know what negsperts?
You should be careful what you wish for.
Nobody wants the job and we have no investors coming in.
We did get one brilliant result against Leicester, but it was back to normal against Forrest, who were previously on an almighty slump.
So I am interested to know, what is the next move?
I see what you mean, after 14games undefeated with a team he inherited, DJ started "rebuilding" and managed to win 15 of his next 67 games with the side that he was "building". The majority of those were immediately after Stuart Gray came in last season!
You right we "negsperts" should have stuck with DJ?!
We'll get another manager, and if it takes time to get the right man so be it.
Why rush in to another mistake that we can't afford?
But whoever it is, it's nigh on impossible for him to do any worse than DJ, and it is definitely impossible for the new man to show less passion for the job.
I was lead to believe that sacking DJ was the answer to all the clubs issues and everything would be peachy forever after.
Oh we'll, WTID regardless.
Peachy? - in less than a fortnight?
Its definitely brighter now he's gone that's for sure.
I believe MM genuinely has the clubs future at heart, after his own financial interests naturally.
I believe the plan for this season was to consolidate and sell the club on to somebody who would bring in the investment - in the team - that's so badly needed.
MM has invested in the business, and in the development squad, which all add to the balance sheet, and make the club more attractive to a potential buyer.
But he thought DJ was the man to hold the fort without having to spend any proper money on the team - money which he wouldn't get back when he sells.
For whatever reason DJ was found wanting - and we are where we are!
MM is not going to suddenly spend a fortune on the team, so it is REALLY IMPORTANT that the incoming manager has MORE about him than just a well known name or a REPUTATION.
DJ had one of those! That worked?
He will need to have the ABILITY to get enough points out of the current squad, with at best a few more loans, to reach survival at the end of another tough season.
That being the case, is it any wonder that MM is taking his time?
He HAS to get it right this time, for ALL our sakes.
I do agree that DJ needed to go in the end, I just think that it would have been wise to have a competent manager lined up before hand rather than just hoping Grey would be a cheap solution to the problem.
Looking at some of the "options" that have been turning us down, it is becoming a bit worrying and I fear that we could eventually end up with even worse, if of course that is possible.
Some of the comments on here have been so ridiculous in the recent past insinuating that the dismissal of DJ would solve everything over night.
Not the case, but let's all hope that it all works out for the best, because at the moment, I would say that the future looks pretty damn bleak.
