Looked at the free transfers, Marcus bent, Craig Fagan, Pablo canouga, shefki kuqi, Jason koumas, Kevin lisbie, micheal mcindoe, James McFadden and zenden? Why can't we sign any of these on a freebie??

Because when you are building a team you don't just buy names - you buy players - AND only players who fit in with the players you have and the way you want to play ..... PLUS ... just because you want a player it doesn't follow that he wants to play for you. He might want to stay in the South or the Midlands or near his bit -on-the-side or a hundred other reasons.

I agree wuth both we could do with these players but only 3 of them would fit into our team and then you have to look at their wages, age and wether or not they wan'tto move and move down a league as many of these players are x prem players.

Would'nt thank them yet untill we start winning games consistently and are pushing for promotion in the top 3. Anyway their is still business to be gone and hope we sign le fondre, mcdonald or mellor with a winger ether roberts or weston. I know what you mean though about the dubters and impacent people out there (as everyone wants transfers to happen quick but these things take time, the money they spend on players are real even if they are loaded).
