Probably to make room and money for Connor Wickham?

Yes that was also my first initial thought as Bruce has only bought British players I think wickham to hull could be a good bet

My father in law is a Sunderland fan and he says they haven't got many strikers and he doesn't see Wickham leaving unless they get a very good offer at least matching what they paid for him or they sign one or maybe two strikers.
