Shola Ameobi, released by Crystal Palace in the summer, being linked with Wednesday according to The S*n. The 34 year old striker would be available on a free transfer.

Never been prolific in anyway and not sure that it improves us. Prior to us spazzing a load of money I would have said yes, but if reports are true and we have enough to bid doubl figures for Rhodes or McCormack, then I can't see the point in not improving.

Having trained with both Wednesday and Wolves, Ameobi is now training with Bolton, so presumably we are no longer interested in signing him.
