Interesting to see May and Bus not in the squad against Mansfield, there is a rumour going round that Bus had trouble over the Sougou tweet. The Rangers rumours seem to have dried up about May. Just wondered if any one has any idea what is going on.

I think they both must be on there way out I just hope we sign a proven 20 goal a season striker if we do I think we will have a strong chance at promotion.

How's about people stop thinking either a player has fallen out with manager or been told off or is heading for the door and think realistically. Lachman also a new signing is yet to make the team sheet if you think about it these players might not have got use to tactics as well as the ones who on pitch. They are still learning don't forget and he's got to put a squad out no matter what so he picks the ones that will be more advanced in the new tactics.

I don't see anymore big signings coming in other then some depth type position players. So this 20 goal scorer thing everyone keeps saying I think you might as well be happy with what they have done so far. I think they have the pieces in place that they believe are what they want and that is what we are rolling with until the next transfer window where they will reevaluate needs at that time. I personally think we are looking good with what we got just maybe need a little more depth.

Agree American. Who's saying we havnt got a 20 goal striker? Or even 3/4 players who will get 10+. I wouldn't throw the money about proven players are going for atm. Things looking good as they are

I don't think that the formation or style of play suits an out and out goal scorer unless the are the very good ones which we not going to spend that big.

I think we've got some value for money players and some with potential and I think we'll carry on down that road and not spend 'BIG'

If you look at all the teams that get promoted they normally have 2 Strikers that get 20 goals.

Good point , and very true.
However , there are exceptions . And 4 , with 10 goals each , does exactly the same!
Think Saturday will be a defining match. We'll be up against a very direct approach and a team that will mix it. Might be a big test for our more cultured lads.
If we ride this one - who knows where we can go!
Ever hopeful!

Without digging too much into researching this, just last season Norwich was promoted and did not have a 20 goal scorer. Cameron Jerome had 18 but more important they have 4 players that had 12+ goals so in essence your logic is a little off. So let's just hope for the best.

And in 13/14 QPR was promoted and with playoffs included Charlie Austin did have 20 goals but the next closest person on the team had 6 goals. Defense can win championships!

I have been very impressed with Chansiri's very different approach to getting success at Hillsborough. It was originally said that he would make left-field decisions and that he would demand value-for-money signings, both of which have been vindicated.

He has said that he wants a mixture of British Championship players and good quality players from elsewhere, again true to his word. I doubt that he will gamble on paying £12-14 million on Rhodes but he could well bring in another striker, with May possibly being sent out on loan.

Oh yes, the final statement, to have Wednesday in the Premiership by 2017. Well, he's been true to his word so far, so. onwards and upwards.
