Chairman has sacked Stuart Gray?
Hope he's not going to replace him with Roeder otherwise that's two very bad decisions in my opinion.

Gob smacked. that explains lack of transfer deals

Big sam installed as favorite for the job followed by Vialli and then Petrescu.

Carver! One of the names mentioned,god I hope not,big Sam or Warburton would be good,big Sam May not play pretty football but he gets results,I know which one I would currently prefer,but would really have liked to give gray a chance with a budget of pounds not pennies,hope he stays as a coach

This isn't good news.
Personally I though Gray did a good job given the hand he was dealt and he deserved the chance to show what he could do with some real cash available (assuming it's forthcoming).
The fact that Roeder has been recruited as a Director doesn't fill me with confidence that the next manager will be the right pedigree.
Either way it's quite a gamble to replace Gray.

At the end of the day if your team doesn't score goals you don't win games which ultimately ends with the sack. Grays set up for scoring goals clearly failed so the owner of our club is obviously not going to trust him with the funds to identify strikers to fire us in to the premier league. Remember Keane and May? They were His signings, recognised by him to score our goals. SG was obviously a very nice bloke and clearly got on with the fans and players alike but that's not what owners are looking for when they're investing heavily in to a club and want success. Good luck in the future Stuart.

Not a surprise I posted just after the takeover, will SG be at S6 for the new season, lots of you guys lambasted me for saying so even though it was only a question.

Might be reading between lines but big Sam available we all know that but strange thing I've seen is we need a winger don't we and all of a sudden ravel Morrison is thinking of quitting Lazio he played for Sam wonder if both on way? On another note gutted to see Grey sacked so much for backing him and giving chance with some serious money wonder if a proven manager who can attract better players is always been on the cards. Only worry I have is new man hasn't got much time to asses current squad. Fingers crossed no rash rushed buys happen. UTO

{Ed001's Note - Allardyce washed his hands of Ravel at West Ham.}
