worrying!

Whats even more worrying is that the new owner is so short of time, he finds time to fly over to London to tell Milan he's short of time

3.) 27 Jul 2014
Again people are still negative.
I don't understand why people keep going on about he's had no time but he's managed to fly to London to tell mm that he's had no time. He hasn't just come for a coffee meeting. Perhaps he has been busy and he's flown over the moment he had time to sort out FL ratification things and plan the way forward for the club with MM.
Wish people would stop looking through every statement /story for negatives that actually aren't there.
UTO keep the faith!

4.) 27 Jul 2014
He flew to London for a meeting with the Football Lge - and Milan.
The Lens President flew from France to London for a meeting with him there also.
Presumably because as was honestly stated he was short of time?

I suggest you read the statement carefully. The regulatory requirements are not yet complete.
This refers to source & sufficiency of funds. In other words show us your cash or take a hike.
It is not being negative to think for yourself, it is not being disloyal to club or make you a bad supporter to make a rational conclusion from known facts.
I believe the mans got a cash flow problem, that's the timing of money coming in and going out.
Its not a crime, but for gods sake I wish people would just for once stop being the cheer leader of SWFC and think for themselves. We all won't it to happen, but I refuse to be a lemming.

6.) 27 Jul 2014
The statement clearly says that "due diligence has been completed", that would include all the financial elements of the takeover deal.
It is the Foottball League regulatory requirements that are not yet completed.
We obviously don't know what they are, but they are obviously not a major concern for MM or HM so we lemmings can relax I guess.

I love creatative reading and the way some people don't let the facts get in the way of their point of view. Having read the statement several times I can't find any reference to source and sufficiency of funds. What is says is that the club will hopefully soon be in a position to complete the regulatory requirements set by the Fooball League. Maybe you were at the meeting with MM and HM and if you were than I apologise and bow th your greater knowledge, if you weren't then don't make it up a you go along. When a take over is put to the FA, the FA set certain dead lines for the take over, one of the most importance is the funding of the takeover because if the proposed buyer can't prove he has the funds the FA stop the process quickly, as was the case with Doncaster Rovers. I would have thought by now that, that deadline would have come and gone. I would suspect that there are a lot more regulations to be completed than source and sufficiency of funds. Keep the faith. UTC

8.) 27 Jul 2014
The statement reads the club have done their due diligence not the football league and will HOPEULLY be in a position to complete the football leagues requirements soon, that reads to me like there is either a hold up or a problem with the funds.

Milan expects us all to now to wait till the 8th August 23 days before the transfer window shuts before letting us know where things are. What then another delay until 31 August then yet again 15,000 tickets sales into Milan pocket - money into the club and new signing nil. This man is taking us all for mugs and we are letting him. We should be organising a reception for Milan at the first home game to show him, our disapproval for being treated like mugs yet again by him.

9.) 27 Jul 2014
Takeover will happen it just when.
People stop having a go at the club
support the team wawaw.

10.) 27 Jul 2014
Well its funny aswell how leyton orient seem to have been sorted, jobi mcanuff? great signing for them

So what's your take on it, you say you would have thought by now, and you would suspect. I can see you have you finger on the pulse alright.
The guts of the regulatory requirements are do you have the CASH, and are you the sole person behind the takeover. So what other part are you referring to.

Isn't it refreshing to see that we as Wednesday fans have soooooo many experts who quite clearly understand high level take over business than a multi successful business Man!
How comes so many are privy to what's happening behind the scenes? Oh I know your the experts!!
What ever happens will be down to people and the FL who make decisions and not on people who don't know one end of a business deal to the other.
Suggestion is leave it to the professionals
UTO

13.) 27 Jul 2014
Some real tripe written above.
Firstly without benefit of rich owner club would quickly go under. Stupid management and Wednesdayite took club to brink and to bring it back will cost a fortune. Only way out is to get promoted to PL.

Without milan we would not exist so get real.

The deal was leaked in France far earlier than Mandaric had wanted. mammadov had not complated his due dilligence of club, this is now complete.
Furthermore Mammadov has to satisfy owners test. They have to indicate where wealth has come fom and if you are front man of a government in a developning nation not as easy as taking your last wage slip along.
Mammadov is very wealthy and has income from numerous sources on regualr basis, issue is showing it to FL in amanner acceptable to both parties. he knows what is required and gone away to produce details.

14.) 27 Jul 2014
Statement to me reads in a positive sense that although they would have liked to have had it completed by now, the problems that HM has had with his other businesses mean that he hasn't been able to give the time to complete the deal. The fact that it seems as though as much paperwork as possible has been completed and it seems like all the financial parts of the takeover are sorted it looks to me that all that is required is for HM to come here and sign all the bits that he needs to.

15.) 27 Jul 2014
Sheff6, you say we have no signings. Did you miss that we have signed Westwood and Hutchinson?

South Owl, I use the terms "have thought" and "suspect" because I don't know what the FA want and with the greatest respect neither do you, unless as I said before you were at the meeting or are privy to information from the FA. But I do know some of the hurdles you have to get over when a business takeover takes place because I have been involved in a few takeovers. But my takeover experience doesn't include a football club so I can't comment on what is required by the FA, MM and HM. I like everyone else wants to see the takeover completed as soon as possible, but I will or won't happen given time.

SWFC13 we have released 8 players end of last season, an 4 loan players and we have sign an injury plague keeper and a defender who when now getting sent off (2 of 7 appearances last season) is injured. These are not signing , a centre back under 30, or a right back that does spend most of the season on the treatment table or a striker who is better than 1 in 6 these are signing. wqe have the poorest squad in the division as it stand. Totown have signed mre players than us and the free they have got look a lot better than what we have got.

I far that Stuart is going to get found out this season as he is a great coach but a shocking manager, and in the modern game you need to be good off the field as well as being good on the training round. If you have limited funds to bring players in don't blow it all on a back up keeper, bring in a striker or at least try and the 34 year old Branda does not count.

21.) 27 Jul 2014
Plague?. it's more serious than I thought

22.) 28 Jul 2014
I think Nuhiu will suprise a lot of us this season now he knows the English game and he's settled I think he could bag us 15 to 20 goals a season.

I have no doubt that the takeover will happen but like us all I do wish it would happen soon! My house move has been dragging on for months, so you can imagine how much more complicated buying a football club is. My worry for SG is that because it is dragging on he doesn't get his squad sorted for the season, we get off to a bad or indifferent start and it costs him his job. I have no idea if he is a good manager or not yet but he seems a decent sort. It would be a shame for his chance to be ruined through no fault of his own

24.) 28 Jul 2014
28 Jul 2014 17:15:33
Nuhiu 20 goals a season? Hope your right but can't see that myself?

25.) 28 Jul 2014
Sheff6 you came out with a blanket statement saying we have no signings when we did. Also Westwood, injury prone? As far as I can see he injured his hand as a teen and played a combined total of 262 games for two clubs over 7 seasons, before moving to Sunderland where he didn't get to play as much as he wanted as he got stuck behind a very good keeper in Mignolet. That doesn't sound injury plagued to me. As for Hutchinson, i'm sure our physios are compentant and that he passed a medical before signing for us so hopefully the worst is behind him.

Yes we need some more players but what are we going to do, magic money out of thin air. MM doesn't want to put too much more money in as he hopes it won't be his club soon and HM doesn't want to spend any money just in case his takeover doesn't happen (although that statement that was released reads to me that it just requires the final paperwork signing). I have a feeling that we will have to rely heavily on the loan market till the winter transfer window as I think the takeover may happen too late for this one, but I have no problem with that, we have done well with loans in the last couple of seasons

26.) 28 Jul 2014
28 Jul 2014 21:08:06
The only way he will score more than ten is if he actually decides to run! His effort for the most part of last season was laughable and not acceptable for a Wednesday player. He has had a good start in pre season but then so have I at Sunday league level and I know I won't reach 20 goals. He says he loves the club but his performances need to show it not just his celebrations from the bench when somebody else scores.

27.) 29 Jul 2014
If Mandaric is so confident that there is no issue with the take over and he is super confident Mama is the right man for the clubs future. Why does he not sort out a short term bridging loan so players can be signed to give Stu a realistic chance and not just damage limitation till the loan market kicks in Sept. We have a lot to thanks Mandaric for but he is an excellent businessman and let's not forget he bought our 28million debt for £1 and negotiated and settlementment fee of £8m. He has took out of the club 3.5miilion a year which was the interest paid annually to the bank into his own business. He has now got his £8m back and a further £30m on the sale. All this by not spending a penny on the squad Antonio and loans have all come out of running money not his pocket. He knows what to say and when to say it and when to keep quiet. Thanks MM for saving us but your gamble on next to zero investment can't work for a third season my fear is our luck on this one may run out. Tried not to be too negative but it is difficult guys. UTO

{Ed001's Note - the club's accounts will be locked to all but standard incomings and outgoings during the takeover. Any extras would have to be subject to agreeing more contracts, as they won't be included in the initial deal made. It would not be worth the hassle to draw all that up, with all the necessary clauses etc. It could take longer than the takeover to agree the details.}

28.) 29 Jul 2014
Benno you are right. You won't score 20 goals this season. Not with that attitude!

29.) 29 Jul 2014
29 Jul 2014 10:52:42
Radon, not sure I get your point but your right I won't get 20 goals. My point on nuhiu is that he looked overweight and sluggish last season and needs to hit the ground running this year to prove people like me wrong. Don't mistake my want for Wednesday to win for wanting others to fail because I don't but when I watch the team I love I expect the people playing to put in the same effort that you or I would if we ever got the chance to turn out in the blue and white

30.) 29 Jul 2014
I thought your post was quite clear mate, but we do have a couple of odd balls on this site constantly trying to stir things up.
Hopefully Nuhiu will pull his finger out this season and bag us a load.
Not sure where else the goals are going to come from at this point.

31.) 29 Jul 2014
Benno. I was meant you need to be more confident if you are going to bag a few a this season for yourself. You should always go on the pitch thinking you are going to win and score. Personally I think Nuhiu is good enough to get 20 goals but I don't think he will get the chance because when the takeover happens I think there will be big changes in personnel and he will be one of the casualties. On one hand we poached him from a prem club where he was training last year (Holloway was not happy at the time) and has scored some good goals - QPR for example. On the other hand he does appear a bit lazy at times and goes long spells without scoring. Easily a championship player though.

32.) 30 Jul 2014
Nuhiu is just the same as everyone else who has struggled up front for us over recent seasons. all the strikers need the service fron wide and midfield we have not had that quality for a long time. As far back as probably Lee Chapman/ Mark Bright were not the most skillfull or pacey of attackers but they had Sheridan Waddle Marwood Worthington & Roland putting real quality in the box. That is where your 20 goals come from. Give him the service he will put it in the onion bag

33.) 30 Jul 2014
Just blast it at him you can't miss him surly! We could nickname him "barn door"

Ben 10 could be on his way to S6 again Reports claim the 23 year old is intersting the Owls. Unfortunately me thinks he could be 24 years old when it comes to fruition!!!!!! Stuart Gray for knighthood. Just think how we all feel with the lack of a squad and how apprehensive we are all getting (maybe not all) What on earth must Stuart Gray be thinking knowing he can get a coaching job almost anywhere in england. let's hope he gets us on his CV as a massive achievement and is rewarded accordingly. Mind you Manadaric will take all the credit he can't lose with SG being the pawn in his plan.
