{Ed010's Note -I cannot be 100% positive because I don't know what goes on at my own club, let alone Sheffield Wednesday but in my experience, when a manager gets the "heave", there is usually a statement of some sort from the Chairman on the club's official website. I have just checked and there is no such statement.

Defender Tommy Spurr has been transfer listed by Sheffield Wednesday. Also Sheffield Wednesday are leading the chase for Dagenham winger Danny Green.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Darren Potter is in talks with Preston over a move to Deepdale worth around £250k with Charlton midfielder Jose Semado being lined up as his replacement. Also Full bakc Mark Reynolds will re-join Motherwell after 6 months at Hillsborough despite intrest from Hibs. Both have offered around £450k but it looks like his heart is set back on a move to his ex club. Owls also close to agreeing fees for Danny Green and Neil Mellor but face competition from Peterborough and Brighton respectivly. Finally Owls forward Clinton Morrison is destined for a return to old club Crystal Palace with a £200-400 fee being bandered about. With this is mind Owls boss Gary Megson is lining up a move for one of ex Barnsley forwardsGarry O'Connor and Marlon Harwood, MK Dons's Sam Baldock, Crewe's Clayton Donaldson and Norwich's Chris Martin
