Heard on good authority that matty fryatt has or is about to sign a pre contract agreement with us.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

{Ed003's Note - Can only sign a pre contract with an English club in the last 30 days of his contract.}

Well said ed. One of our many fans with 'inside knowledge'we must Av more moles than a park

Agree5 Disagree1

Not taking one side or the other and this story may well be pure fantasy, but there are many ways to "secure an understanding" other than a "formal pre-contract agreement".
Its been done many times in the past
In fact the rumours are that Leeds have negotiated some form of a "contract option" with Wickham and Sunderland at the end of the season, which may also be fantasy?

Agree0 Disagree5

With six months or less remaining on an existing contract for players aged 23 or older, they are free to negotiate with other clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement, indicating their ability to move to their intended club on a Bosman transfer once the next transfer window opens. Really Ed 30 days!

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - Yes 30 days to another English club and six months to a club from a different affiliation......Really lol }

Heard on good authority, come on was it gate man.

Agree2 Disagree0

It was from connor wickham who said he loved and wants to stay with us and then left to leeds lol owls about that!

Agree0 Disagree2

The kid Stewart has signed a pre contract ageement with Leeds United!

Agree0 Disagree2

This one has legs. My mum's neighbour has a son who works in the ticket office and they say they saw someone who looked like Matty Fryatt's agent getting out of a Range Rover on Tuesday and taking a back exit into the side of the club store just in case any media were watching.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - The plot thickens.}

That was richard bransons employee in the landrover. Apparently rb and mm were in a meeting and there was no biscuits. Wonder what the meeting was about?

Agree2 Disagree0

RB in a meeting with no biscuits?! Can't be true, its well known fact he carries a packet of hobnobs in his duffelcoat just in case ;-)

FACT:- by the time Swfc and MM realised that wickham was available his agent informed us a deal had already been done with Leeds. Nothing to do with the player choosing them over us etc. Leeds chanced their hand and got in there 1st. Nothing unusual about us missing out on a target we will get over it and maybe it's time for Madine to live up to his potential.

Believable11 Unbelievable9

Same old Wednesday missing out on a player you get used to it by now

Agree9 Disagree2

Same old Wednesday got loovens and big American cb I can't be bothered to attempt a spelling at signed until end of season.

Good things have happened at hills borough too.

Agree11 Disagree2

Absolute nonsense. Sunderland are well aware of our interest so no reason to do a deal behind our backs unless there are other issues unconnected with us. Never trust a post that starts with the word Fact!

Agree5 Disagree1

Poyet has leeds connections and they could probably pay more of his wages. We'll just move on. This seasons over now anyways were stoping up and are now out of FA cup. Think its time to give our contracted players a game and leave the loans players on bench.

Agree3 Disagree0

Poyet - Thanks for a reasonable and realistic post, a slice of common sense
Footballs a business, and business is about money, and that's all its about usually.
Connor Wickham was never going to be anything other than a loan player for us, but some of our fans couldn't resist putting his picture on there bedroom walls next to Ben Marshall.
I wouldn't mind if they were Ronaldo, Bale or Messi, but they are little better than ordinary players at this level.

Agree6 Disagree0

I put "FACT" because in a interview MM went on record saying we missed out on wickham and was informed of the deal by wickhams agent. Straight from the horses mouth.

Agree2 Disagree1

Just a query, COULD we have signed Wickham along with all the other loanees on our books?
Is there a limit?
Also, £££ already budgeted for loan players may have already been taken (Gardner, Best, Hitchinson etc)
Just thinking out loud!

Agree1 Disagree1

You put FACT and then twist what MM said to suit your interpretation. MM and Stuart Gray have both said they were in constant conversations with Gus Poyet and lots of people at Sunderland about the availability of Wickham. If MM and SG are telling the truth and I have no reason to doubt them and the first indication that Wickham was going to Leeds was went his agent told MM them something else has gone on behind their backs. Poyet has said in the past that McDermot is a friend of his and he does have Leeds connections. Gray sounded very unhappy about losing out on Wickham in the way that we have. Best was brought into the club for a month because Gray was told that Wickham would be avalible when Fletcher was fit.

Agree1 Disagree3

So now the wisdom is that Poyet & MacD decide between them to do a secret deal and spirit CW to Leeds in the middle of the night without telling anybody at S6 - oh and CW said OK?
The truth is that CW, like all these overpaid footballers went exactly where he wanted to go! He wouldn't do anything else would he?
He instructed his agent to set up the deal.
There is no conspiracy theory, he's told us himself if you bother to read his interview!

Agree2 Disagree2

Last player on loan to us and thn Leeds was Barkley. Barkley was a failure at Leeds Ido Not expect Wickham to do well at Leeds. Lot of off field shenanigins and do not think Whickham thrives in this sort of atmosphere.
Clear he was expected back at Wednesday ut when we took est for a month that was using money iintended for Whickham we could not react as money had already gone. Whickham desperate to get awayafter eing left out of squad previous weekend. Went to first decent opportunity, think easy to nderstand and no reason for anyone to spit out dummy. t will not take him long to realise what Leedsis like.
