Wednesday have cast net wide but we have gone for proven players at this level and they are in demand from other clubs. Also keen to move on a lot of the under achievers from last season. Expect major upheavel in coming weeks. Decision will be required from numerous individuals by first week in July. Most names mentioned we have been in touch with them or their agents but everything still up in air. Information from admin guys at Hillsbrough.

Ed: Have you heard of any forthcoming deals? Are the Koumas and Tyson rumours true? Anyone else getting concerned? Has we've only signed two experienced freebies. Surely we should be able to compete for better players than those we've just brought in and for better players than we've got in the squad already. Rob Jones was a must to be honest, but so far there's nothing to get excited about.
