I agree just think its being kept alive to sell season tickets I would be very surprised if we sign him now I think the best we can hope for is a season long loan deal but reading are in no hurry to get shut they don't have to name their squad till September so they will be having a good look at Antonio before they sell

Unless Reading are done signing players and sell others then there can't be any way how Antonio will make it into their 25 man squad. A quick glance at their squad on Wiki shows that there are well over twenty odd players aged 22 or over already there who are ahead of him in the pecking order currently.

Heard a few things this morning.
Moshni the southend player is having trials with a premier league club this week according to SSN. Probably rules him out joining us
More rumours in the paper about a short term loan deal happening for Barton to run his ban down quicker. Will only be short term and not season long as Mark Hughes wants him back for the premiership. Not too happy about this but if it means we get a bit of money, some other decent players on loan and a good relationship with a premiership club so more players if required in january then go for it.
As for Kirkland, have heard he is being given a leave of absence not having his contract terminated, for personal reasons, thought to be looking after his wife who is seriously ill. Hope she recovers soon and he is back with us.

I have just been told that Caolan Lavery has been promoted to the 1st team and has been given a number 30 shirt.......Info is from Calgary, Canada. Also that he will be going to Portugal with the team.
