Where's the DJ Campbell rumour come from? Sounds a load a tosh that one

Agree with all these apart from the madine won because why would he go when he has said he wants to stay at Wednesday for the remainder of his carer
Agree9
Disagree7
Madine will be gone by end of january he is not good enough for the championship he will be sold which will be excellent as we then can use the money towards a proven championship striker.
Agree4
Disagree9
I don't think we should sell Madine, he is young, has loads of potential and WILL improve with time!

evryone saying madine isnt good enough, remember a young striker wednesday signed and everyone said he wasnt good enough?
im sure he is norwich's captain and was the 2nd highest english strike in the premier division last year!
give madine time he will get better and be an assett in the future!
Agree10

No-one will but Madine this January as he is on trial in April!
Someone could loan him but no-one is gonna buy until that is sorted!
Agree2
Disagree0
Think Halen, Beevers ad Sidibe only ones correct others simply off mark. I do expect Madine to go out on loan.
Agree1
Disagree3
Only reason madine won't go is coz he's going on trial for assault in April, millwall nearly signed him until they learnt about this
Agree2
Disagree3
To the people who come on here saying Madine is not good can you tell me do you sit behind me in the North Stand. Are you the ones that grumble when his name is announced, the ones that groan at his every touch and have a face that looks as though they have been sucking a particularly sour lemon when he scores. Get real the lad is twenty two years old, he is learning his trade, he has a good touch for a big man, he has some pace, he gets into good positions and he proved last season that he can score goals. Someone else said that we had Grant Holt at Hillsborough, we also had Richard Cresswell and I bet you saying they were not good enough. Give the lad a break, time is on his side.

Beevers 450k, ? he already gone for 250k

Beevers went for more than 250k, a lot more

Jan 14th and no-one in, not even a smell of anyone in. Doubt there's any coming.

Reading have said that Jay Tabb is free to find a new club he would be a fantastic signing for us

The sooner Sidibie goes back the better... Awful footballer

When he is given playing time Madine is good enough. I agree that our inconsistent manager would like to get rid but he'll struggle I can't see anyone taking Madine until his court cases are resolved.
Agree4

Vellios of Everton to us by the end of the week on loan.

I think DJ realises that Madine isn't good enough at the moment for this division. Also, the lads attitude outside of football hasn't really helped him.
Agree5
Disagree0
Madine gets given more time than O'Grady, which is inexplicable, given that Madine has been terrible and cog has been pretty good. Of course, Jones would rather bring in useless target men from the premier league on loan than play anyone we actually own

Rather sell em to be fair...But anything to free up the wage budget

I'm the one that sits on north stand and i do moan about madine. I'm not saying madine won't be good in the future but why keep playing him if he isn't ready for this level send him out on loan to league 1 let him get another year under is belt then try him again. In the mean time use the money freed up by his loan to put towards a striker that will score. It's ok thinking about future but we need to think about the present too. We need goals!

Earnshaw to sign on a free before window closes, also the owls boss Dave jones I said to be looking at a loan move for for Ryan noble of Sunderland and promising England under 21 striker as we lack a little prowess in front of the goal!

Earnshaw i can belive tbh as when ask on sky it sounded to me that he was on his way to us but didn't want to say anything

Everyone moaning about rob earnshaw. He's a proven goal scorer better than sidibe by miles. I don't think we will get any money off mm in January plus we can't attract brilliant players. You all moaning about 'has been's' who wants to come to a club that may possibly go down your all asking for to much you want messi's and ronaldo's we not going to get players like that at hillsborough. UTO

To be honest if we don't bring anyone in im happy with JJ and Antonio up front after yesterday. They caused so much more trouble with their pace up front, and we ended up scoring four goals against second in the league
Agree12
Disagree1
If we stay up which I think we will, MM will give us money to spend
Agree6
Disagree3
If we sign big and go down we are heading back in the same state as b4 MM saved us! On yesterday's performance we can compete with these players. 2 CF with pace is needed plus offload some dead wood!
Anyone know what has happened tp pecknic?
Agree4

Earnshaw would be a good signing, decent scoring record throughout his career, excellent compared to our 3 current strikers!
O Grady a goal every 4.5 games
Madine a goal every 4.2 games
Sidibe a goal every 7.2 games
Earnshaw a goal every 2.5 games
Agree7
Disagree4
We need a top striker on loan for the rest of the season.
In the mould of Matej Vydra at watford.I thought maybe Rodri or Pecnic could have been those players but they are either not good enough or jones just doesn't like them.
I'd rather have some good young hungry striker on loan than the likes of Earnshaw but to be fair he could probably do a job.
Agree8

Still think Madine hasn't had a fair go at it, he needs match time not 10 mins here and there.you would see a different player given the opportunity.

I still don't think Madine is good enough, but maybe the best of a bad bunch.

Like rhodes you mean, 1st div last year

I don't think Madine is anywhere near the same quality as Rhodes. Unfortunately.
Agree5

I don't think madine will come good this season.
I was talking to someone ex wednesday(who i won't name) and he reckons he's not good enough for the championship but i think maybe he will be in a year or 2.
We should get him out on loan.I definitely wouldn't give up on him yet.
Agree5
Disagree1
If we're comparing goal scoring I think we should look at Earnshaw as the player he is now and his record is 16 goals in his last 70 games. A goal every 4 and a bit games.
Agree4
Disagree2
I think earnshaw would do a great job at Wednesday. Last night we looked bright an attack minded. Somebody with earnshaw's pace and clinical finishing can only be good for Wednesday. Onwards and upwards :)
Agree3
Disagree3
To the poster who says a 1st division striker will never make it in the championship 3 words Adam Le Fondre! Scored for fun in league 2 and jumped straight to championship and scored 12 goals last season. So why can't Gary madine do it?
Agree2
Disagree0
Still better record than owt we've got
Agree0
Disagree1
Also Ricky lambert, billy sharp, earnshaw started in league 2, Steve Morison for norwich was signed from Gary's athletic, utter rubbish about league one strikers never making it
Agree4
Disagree0
Alf is better than Madine. I also agree that Earnshaw could do job for us. Still very nippy, despite his age.
Agree3
Disagree3
We get goals just not from strikers, it's not too much of a problem at moment, since we got assistant we are doing good, just like with terry burton UTO
Agree2
Disagree1
And Jordan Rhodes is good in the championship aswell as he was in league 1. Who ever said division 1 scorers never make it in the championship is stupid!!
Agree2
Disagree0
I don't believe that any of our fans are stupid. But hey, I am simply WTID.
Agree2
Disagree3
Many strikers have climbed leagues, differece with some of ames metioned they are on downward spiral. When some strikers are towards ed of career more iterested in pay packet than hard graft in backs to wall relegation fight. Hate to mention this but there was a lot of enthusiasm for Boothroyd on here before he arrived. See Earnshaw in same light. Hence would prefer someone who still has hunger to progress.
Agree3
Disagree1
But how do attract and fund a young proven championship standard goalscorer? Kinda catch 22 really.
However, if we could, we would become a strong team in my opinion.
Agree1
Disagree0
Its unfair to say madine not good enough in championship its a team game he's not on the pitch alone he needs service same with all strikers the lad can finish, he has a good touch, great heading ability just lacking a chance to play and lack of service
Agree0
Disagree0
We should've signed ALF when we had chance, he basically can score on any league, league 2, scored for fun, championship scored 12 goals in his first season and wasn't always starting, that's brilliant, and he already is scoring in prem!
