Been quite disappointed with Jones and Mandaric this window so far, signed players that are mainly unproven in any top leagues

In my opinion the weakest part of the team is central midfield.
Strengthen that, get our first choice full backs fit and sign one more quality striker and I think we'll be play off contenders.
No need to panic yet!

Apart from when MM first arrived it's been the same every window. The only time he spent any real money he gave it to Alan Irvine (remember him?) - the worst manager in Wednesday's history. Money has been in short supply ever since.

was in a pub today with friends and we got talking to a group of other people and one of them was saying that we are trying to get sammi ameobi on loan.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Season of struggle its the Wednesday way used to it.

Swfc need a proven goal scorer they said Charlie Austin was needed but 4 mill was to much for them but if u want to return to the prem 4 mill is not bad for 100 mill in return to the promise land

"we lost a game we should never have lost" why? which game? QPR way better than us, Kirkland outstanding and only reason we stayed in the game. And at NY - Wednesday Rubbish, so why?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm sorry did you watch the QPR game? At certain points, yes, they were all over us, but at other times we were all over them. We were very unlucky not to get anything out of that game. x

So who are we going to get as our next signings?

I think we will end up with Lita (after Swansea pay him off) as a permanent transfer, Wickham on a season loan with a right to buy at the end of the season and then as for a midfielder - anyone's guess!

I'd like to see Barkley on loan again but I think that Martinez may play him this year.

in all honesty I don't want djs head I want dj to get a striker, we look weak up top uto xxx

Jones to go would be ludicrous Rome wasn't built in a day and as long as we make steady progress every year i'm happy it them supporters expecting miracles in 2 seasons just won't hapoen I want a striker and Mc cabe partnering prutton in midfield not coke and I'm happy

These people calling for DJ's head, they still haven't said where the money is coming from to pay off his contract or compensation for his successor. Also no mention of any names that they want yet as a new manager. Come on don't suddenly get shy and go all quiet, tell us who you want in the hotseat. Personally DJ can stay for me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed, 2 games into the season and only 1 in the league come on look at all the championship teams that lost should we all start a merry go round

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont rise to it 50% are probably rival supporters stirring it up. The other 50% are ones who wouldn't be happy with whoever we had. Better the devil you know I say.

Agree0 Disagree0

So the chief reason for keeping DJ is the expense that would be incurred if we moved him on. Sad admission. And his record is not simply the last two games. He has been here for some time now and has brought in over twenty players without making any real impact.

Agree0 Disagree0

So bringing in leroy lita didn't stop us from going down?

Agree0 Disagree0

Two sensible people and one person. The main reason to not sack DJ is that he hasn't failed. His goals the last two seasons have been to get promotion and then to stay in the championship both of which he has done. I'm inclined to agree with the third poster that most of those calling for DJ's head are rival fans as nobody seems to want to come up with a name of a replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

What saved us from going down was not an individual player but the arrival of Stuart Gray. Before he came we were heading fast back to League 1. He sorted us out and results improved. Think of the implications.

DJ is the man for the job, takeover or not. His signings have been dictated by funds available and hhim having to take the pick of what is left. Some work some don't. If we all had chrystal balls we would all win the euro millions and all would be queing to by our beloved club. Oh and we would never lose a match as we would already know every move the opposition were going to make. unfortunately most of us then wake up and get ready for the next day, some just keep dreaming of the ideal world.
